   If you were to believe in reincarnation would this grow peace  or lead to avoiding responsibilities?

   It can sometimes grow dissension, as this world is full of those who are only going to tell you, that theirs is the only way. It is always wise not to dwell on the subject when you meet such people, as they may not like you  for this philosophy, if you like.
   
   Avoiding responsibilities does not come into the picture. Indeed if God was going to send you back, you will get more responsibilities; a few more incarnations, perhaps. Not a joke, as we know that just this life can be painful enough.
   
   Anyway, Reincarnation is natural and unavoidable. The Soul is immortal and cannot die. Yet it comes here covered in desires and reincarnation is the natural process of the Soul discarding its worn out body, for a new and different one, in order to continue its progress/evolution; to manifest the Divine here on Earth.
   
   From that standpoint it will lead to Peace, yes. The end of the journey is Love, Delight, Bliss, Peace ... a Kingdom of Heaven, if you like. The Goal of life is to merge as one with this Existence, Consciousness and Bliss, and reincarnation, with its twin sister Karma, is a part of this process. Much Love, Three Keys.

   It only leads to self improvement if you think the next life will be better if you live a good life here.
   Otherwise, it becomes an out. There was an Outer Limits episode of a world where people remembered past lives, and the ugly or disfigured or stupid were killed or killed themselves to hopefully get a better body next time.

   Happiness is when you have what everyone needs! Only God is happy. God has a Paradise - all people want to live in Paradise. Good karma is when you have something what everybody needs. Michael Jackson received the talent from his past life. But Michael Jackson died from drugs. The love of Jesus is better than good karma! Karma creates reincarnation. Reincarnation separates us from God.

      Reincarnation exists for the Soul's growth. It is foolish to expect us to find Him there, if we can't find Him here. We do not die in evil and awake in Love. God's realm is subtle and needs the transformation of human nature. Hence reincarnation.
