Is it hypocrisy for President Obama to avoid using Radical Islamic extremism in Orlando attack?
President Obama seems to go out of his way to explain his avoidance of using Islam to describe the terrorists attacks and yet seems to have no problem calling "Christian terrorist" when referring to the Colorado shooter -

What is going on here?
No, there are no radicals because they are all the same. They all read the same book and pray on the same rugs, you can not tell which one is going on a shooting spree next.
Obama was raised by them and my belief is he is one of them at heart. He is not going to talk about his people.
There are radicals in every religion, but it is only the followers of Islam that are sworn to kill others as far as I know. It seems that Obama just can't get those words out of his mouth. His actions would tell us he is at least a Muslim sympathizer.
When you cannot admit the reason they did it - Islamic - or the identity of the attackers - Muslim - you cannot properly profile those most likely to commit the violence or counter the violent ideology that motivated it.
And by lumping it in with "extremism", it gives him an excuse to keep monitoring and oppressing Tea Party "extremists" instead of Muslims who are repeatedly attacking from Pamella Gellar's event in Garland in 2015 to the Pulse night club in 2016.
And the focus on banning guns wouldn't prevent attacks like the Muslim attacker who killed a policeman and his wife this week in Paris using a knife, or repeated attacks in Israel trying to run over Jews with cars.
Christians are terrorists, Islam is terrorists, Mexicans are terrorists, there are terrorist in every religion and faith and nation. Why put a label on it to give to the media, just to blow it up bigger. Why could it not been called just a crazed gunman.
He wasn't crazy, he was following the tenets of his faith and per the teachings at his mosque known to call for death of homosexuals back in 2013
Matthew, identifying the problem is first and foremost to solving it. Obama does not want to deal with this before he leaves office. He will go down in history as one of the worst president.

Will not saying the name "Radical Islam" really keep us safe?Obama says that saying the name "Radical Islam" won't make a difference. Well, if it won't make a difference, why not just say the name? The mentality here is that if we call it what it is (Islamic...

It appears to me that the torture issue, as Frank Rich observed in today's NY Times, is "bigger" than Obama. Rich's Op-ed provides a concise summary of where the issue currently stands. In my opinion, Obama had better get out from in front of the train! Here's a link to Frank Rich's...

When George Bush was president the United States experienced the horrific attacks of 09/11. We were all misled into a war with Iraq and then we went to war in Afghanistan. He pushed to privatize Social Security. Bush was extremely slow in providing relief during hurricane Katrina. Prisoners were...
