   The Republicans required Trump to sign an agreement to stay loyal. Don't they have to stay loyal too
   
   Why don't the rest of the republicans have to stay loyal to the Republican Party? They made Trump sign an agreement to stay loyal if he was going to run Republican. He won the people's vote and should be shown the respect they asked of hem.

   You've nailed it. That's the modus operandi of the Washington elite no matter what side of the aisle they represent. Do as I say, not as I do. They are above all, above the law. Rules and regulations? Don't dare apply that to them.

   Trump blew it when they asked him to pledge to vote for the primary winner. What he should have said would have been: "Sure, if the Republican establishment pledges to totally support me if I win,." Then he should have named names.
   
   I'm surprised, knowing him, that wasn't the tact he took.

   Neither the Democrats nor the Republican have a party. What they have is been exposed for their tampering with the party voters in producing who they want as convention winner. The democrats were the worst, they hardly put up an candidates to oppose Hillary. While the republicans put up a whole bunch. Neither party thought that the people would vote for Sanders, and Trump.
   
   The people should run the party, that is why they call the US a Democratic Republic. How can the people vote for their candidate if the party doesn't support them. It makes other people in the party question the majority pick. And it gives the other party ammunition why the general public shouldn't vote for Trump in this case.
   
   The two party system has run its course. We need to create a  new election paradigm. The parties are gridlocked in congress, and now the parties are gridlocked within their own party??

   Of course, but the Republican party is in chaos, and the Demos aren't doing a whole lot better. It is no longer tit for tat, so I think we can expect more of this. It will be interesting.

      The Republican party is in chaos?That's why Trump got a ten point bump in polls after the convention?Democrats booing almost everything,day after day,even during Hillary's acceptance speech which wasn't "historical" it was hysterical!

   I just caught this notification in my gmail, Greg. MizBejabbers hit it right on the head! We got "more" with the leaks from the DNC re: their taking sides among their own candidates Bernie and Hillary. So, it appears that no major party members or their executives have to stay loyal to their charters or anything else. Why does that no longer surprise me? I initially found humor in Trump's public disrespect and lack of concern for the RNC, but I admit to a kind of sadness in learning of the DNC  debacle. Maybe it's time for the Green or American Independent party to find some viable candidates (Bernie, are you listening?) and start stepping up. There is so much corruption in either of the majors. Each instance of disloyalty only feeds the media machine, every aspect of which in itself no longer remains loyal to the ideal of a free press.
   Eisenhower warned the public about the military-industrial alliance, and we didn't pay attention. Now we're letting the political parties and the media take us for a ride, too. Bummer.

      If Bernie had a sane neuron in his brain he would have run for a 3rd party instead of the Dem. party which he knew & even said would, &(later)was, secretly (not so much, lol) undermining his campaign&then endorse the1who cheated him? CRAZ
