Will Ryan Lochte be able to dance his way back into the good graces of advertising sponsors?

Ryan Lochte plans to trip the light fantastic
On 'Dancing with the Stars" this season
    To polish his tarnished halo
And cover up the fabricating lie
This may well be his reason
He won the gold and missed the brass ring
No longer for him, his praises we sing
    Maybe DWTS accolades can bring

I hope so. The swirl of nonsense around this guy and the sanctimoniousness of the media was ridiculous.  He did not kill anybody, or beat his girlfriend.  He got drunk and then into a confused situation. Many of us have been there.  Let us not cast the first stone...

I compare it to the Tom Brady hate; it's jealousy.   Yes, he's 32 and swimming for a living. It's weird.  But so what?  I'm happy he's able to live his life.

Why do people keep apologizing to Brasil?    They need to concentrate on their own problems.  Al Roker embarassed himself.

He falsified a police report, vandalized property, & had he not gotten caught he would've further hurt Brazil's reputation. All legitimate issues. Not sure why you think someone has to commit murder or domestic abuse to suffer consequences.

I disagree. There are language issues and they pulled guns on him, demanding payment for the "violation."  Regardless, my unease rest with respected sportswriters treating him like he did kill someone.

Thank you C.J., I could not compare this to Tom Brady because I do not believe Tom had anything to do with inflating his balls. As I stated in my “Deflate Gate” Deflated Balls or Deflated Ego?, anyway thank you for the comment.

Considering the short attention span of today's news media I'd say yes. People have already moved on from Ryan Lochte and are focusing on Colin Kaper-whatsisname (The NFL player who won't stand during the national anthem) instead. Ryan should send that guy a thank you note.

Thank you Keith for the comment. This can't compare to Kapernick in my opinion, Kapernick is unpatriotic.

Maybe, but he certainly stole the media's spotlight from Lochte. A month from now it'll be "Ryan who?"

I have a new rule now.  Before you condemn somebody on Twitter and Facebook, wait a couple of weeks for the truth to leak out.  I made the mistake of condemning him as an ugly American, thinking he had trashed a bathroom, but then it comes out that all he did was rip a poster off of a wall.  I feel bad about that now.  In the future I will try to reserve judgement.

Mel, my friend, no condemnation neither on here, Facebook or Twitter, Mr. Lochte's life career is in danger.  I hope he can redeem it. Blessings.
      P.S. I do not tweet.

Sorry Shyron. I meant you in general, meaning me or anyone, not you meaning Shyron. I don't know of you condemning anyone.  I regret the misunderstanding, I need to pick my words more carefully.  Blessings to you too.

Mel, dear friend, I took no offence from your words. I just want it known that I neither condone or condemn Ryan Lochte. I will be watching DWTS and if he is good, I will vote for him.
