From Trump in white house, to wildfires in Chile, how positive do you think you can be in 2017?

I am very positive about Trump being in the White House. He will clear out those people from the Obama administration that continued the decline of the US for the last 28years. It was the nesting professional politicians of both parties that put us in decline, and also didn't prevent the bottoming of the US economy in 2008, We haven't really recovered because congress and president Obama didn't have that on their agenda.

Trump is better than the Tea Party, and he is not a liberal and he is not a staunch GOP either. He was not a politician when the pro's messed up the country so he doesn't have save face. He can do the job that needs to be done, by putting the US first. The previous 28 years was putting the party first, the party financial backers second, and they didn't have time or desire to think about the people.

We in the US have a serious homeless problem. A fair number of families don't have jobs, and many that have jobs can barely live on their means. As an example we have 43 million people on food stamps. Does that sound like recovery?

The strength and success of America was the Middle Class and small to medium business. Most of that is gone over the last several decades. Trump wants to put America first, and bring back prosperity by bringing back the middle class which are the blue and white collar workers. They peaked in the 1950s, and in the 1970s the US started to decline and it continues today. We have been in many wars for the last 100years, Wars we didn't win, but cost us with the loss of Americans, and trillions of dollars focus on those wars. These include direct and indirect expenses.

We also have over $20 billion of illegal drugs and contraband from the Mexican and other drug cartels every year. The consumers of these drugs are people in the US. These people on drugs increase criminal activity by gangs distributing the drugs, and people trying to get the money to buy the drugs. These drug users get sick, and this increases healthcare costs, of both hospitals and rehab centers.

People keep balking about the border wall because of the illegal aliens, but the bigger threat is from the cartels. Mx doesn't open their border to their southern neighbor, but they do give them a 21 day visa for them to get across the US border. Don't for get how few terrorists have caused so much damage, fear and chose as they love the open borders. But they also like infusing into the refugees and get right into the heart of the US.

That's an interesting take on things. Personally, Trump scares me because he has already offended a lot of officials. I heard Iran fired off a test missile earlier this morning.
If WWIII is inevitable, I'd better get to Snowboard Camp while I can...

Yoleen, These officials and members in both parties are also scared of Trump and that is good. BTW, We lost WWi and WWII and every war since 1898. For example, we wouldn't have to worry about N Korea, Iran, or ISIS if we won the wars. Thx.
