Do you believe that anyone who claims victim status, or defends perceived victims. Have more rights?
There seems to be a growing trend to identify with a perceived victim group and then declare any critical comment against them as hate. My son at seven often plays the victim because he is made to do homework. I actually saw/heard a lady at the airport say that the screening lines caused her to miss a flight and that she was a victim of security (true).
Hate speech is clear. It is a personal attack on persons or person. But saying that I need a haircut is not hateful. "You are a conservative". Is not."You are not paying attention" is not.
But it seems those are hate speech to a victim?
What about blowing up the White House, and assassinating president Trump. Remember that these words should be looked and treated in the same manner that we should have taken the writings of the Columbine massacre, and others. These emotional and hateful words can be the triggering points for unstable minds to put them into action.
It is sad to think that these protesters and their supporters think more of strangers, than their fellow Americans. Where are the voices that support our protectors in the military and police, or the Vets that put their lives on the line to protect us Americans at home and abroad. They aren't given the medical, psychological or platforms to get back into providing for themselves. What about the millions of jobless, homeless, welfare, and people on food stamps? Who is their voice, and who is protesting for them. Well, president Trump is trying to be their voice, but it is being drowned out by protesters that want to Resist president Trump. Those are not my words, but their words. Resist until DC goes down.
Instead of preparing their causes for the elections in 2018, and 2020 they want to Resist. They had their chance in 2016, and they failed. The American Way is not protesting, but voting for your elected offices, as the US is not a Democracy per se, but a Democratic Republic.
If this is not to your form, then DEL it.
Very strange but I was talking to a Lawyer who defends those charged with a crime. He had Iraqi clients refugees that went back and forth monthly to collect their refugee checks here but live there. No lying it just is.
Eric, I am sorry that is a great story but I have no idea that was the point of your question. I grew up in Manhattan, I always knew what people were saying, you would probably call it blunt or rude. Not a criticism just an explanation.
Great example/concept. A Bronx kid in polite Wyoming. Really would raise eyebrows showing that sensibilities need to be honored but not worshipped.
Liberals tend to rank high on agreeableness and assign moral weight to the perceived victim. They are trying to alter the social and legal structure to accommodate this. For example, instead of saying who stole or who libeled, take the people's place on the victimhood hierarchy into account and the poor person is more right than the rich even if stealing, the black is more moral than the white even while assaulting the white person
(See the white disabled kid tortured by blacks on Facebook live stream for edification of their friends, and the media goes out of its way to minimize the severity of the actions or excuse it.)
One of the problems with giving the perceived victim the greater moral weight is that it encourages people to throw a tantrum to prove their degree of outrage, and it gives raises the heckler veto to a tantrum veto.
Even worse is the "I'm outraged, so you can't speak". This is morphing into "you hurt my sacred self's feelings, that's an attack on me, so I can hit you in response to your words". That is fascism in the name of feelings. By equating words with assault, Islam allows believers to kill critics of Islam and Muslims. By equating words with an attack on society's beliefs, Mao and Stalin had hordes of students shame, maim and murder people for the good of society.

Have you ever been victim of a scam? Were you too embarrassed to tell anyone?

I ask this question because it has happened to me and my husband. While we were dating we would sit and speak about all kinds of crazy things. We sat and told each other our stalker experiences over a glass of wine, trying to laugh it off but really scared s#itless just reliving it. It felt a bit...

If you cant prove that the Bible is false, how can you call it lies. That is irrational, for to call someone a liar you must have proof to the contrary to what they are saying. Anything else is personal opinion and mere speculation.

How can anyone believe in the book of mormon since scripture warns against it?Scripture warns against believing doctrine other than than what Paul preached-- even if an "angel from heaven" brings it. Yet thousands follow this cult in spite of scripture. With a specific...
