   He didn't get fired for either of those choices. He got fired because he lied to congress, and didn't provide the facts.
   
   He had the evidence on Hillary Clinton and chose not even to call a Grand Jury or even put her testimony to the FBI under oath. He gave her email server staff immunity, but they had given no testimony. He didn't get the alleged Russian Hacked DNC servers, and democrats in congress used that to investigate an alleged Russian Trump election interference.
   
   He he did was not incompetent, it was intentional and unprofessional.
   
   Where is the evidence in the Trump Russian Investigation.
   Got any proof at all?

      What evidence did Trump have. Prove it. Those Huma Abedin emails are all he ever had and those were a big nothing. But let's start to look at Jared Kushner's wheeling and dealing with Russian oligarchs or Ivanka's promoting her business.

   Both. Don’t underestimate the role incompetence and volatility/instability of Trump. Like a cartoon - Trump keeps stepping on the same rake and hitting himself in the face repeatedly. Truly getting more bizarre by the day - to the  point of Nero fiddling while Rome burns. 
   
   Not defending Comey.
   
   A foreign government may have interfered in our democracy, and our attorney general may have committed perjury. Now President Trump has fired FBI Director James Comey, who had been leading the investigation into the Trump campaign's ties to Russia.
   
   Then there is Roger Stone, who coined a term that would get me banned (again) from Hubpages, that describes political dirty tricks as copulation with a rodent. Trump denies that Roger Stone advised him to fire Comey. This is the guy who has a tattoo of Richard Nixon on his back. {roll eyes} a real nice guy - ahem

   Comey was fired because he would not drop the trump's treasonous tie to Russia, trump admitted it in the interview with Lester Holt. When Comey refused to drop it he was fired, not he is threatening Comey that he has tapes of them having dinner together.
   The FBI is not obligated to reveal the facts as they go along to prove that they know what happen in the dealings with Russia. If he had the Russians would have been forewarned and would have covered up connections to trump.
