What do you think about President Trumps efforts in Houston?

I'm sure many remember Katrina, and how then President Bush waited for days before he reacted to the devastation there.
Trump did the opposite, he reacted before the Hurricane even hit, being proactive and spending plenty of time on the ground in Houston since.
Did he react quickly and appropriately, what are your thoughts?

Evacuees who snapped this selfie w @realDonaldTrump says the encounter changed their opinion of him.

Found him to be kind, reassuring.

I think President Trump did a stellar job responding to this tragedy. In fact, those who remember say it was the fastest reaction of any US president in history. He went to the flood area in a respectful way and reassured everyone that the federal government wouldn't desert them. Then he took things a bit further by donating 1 million dollars of his own money. What more could anyone ask of a leader?

Great answer, I too think he did an admirable job, when compared to recent Presidents I think he was very quick to act, and once again, we see the media has nothing but scorn for his efforts no matter how positive they may be.

It doesn't matter what the President did in Houston from the eyes of a Liberal.  They will continue to find fault with him regardless.  He donates a million, but gets chastised on MSNBC because some Texas football player donated more.  He serves meals and hugs children; it gets reported that he's just trying to not look so racist.  He plans, executes, and is putting the full weight of DC behind helping; he gets hammered as pandering (and who the heck thinks helping people in need is pandering????  Only liberals I expect.)  The media even had to make fun of his wife's shoes - imagine how you would feel if you were a person in need and the press focused on playing politics (weakly of course) and talking about FLOTUS shoes?!?!  The Democrats brand of identity politics is getting thin and people are seeing them for what they really are.

Trump is a man of action and he demonstrated it with a high level of integrity and acted VERY Presidential.

I will have to agree that what he did changed people's opinion of him.  I know not everybody will change.  I experienced a similar time shortly before this hurricane.  He was up at Reno speaking to the Veterans at the American Legion Convention.  The response of the veterans was outstanding.  True some still do not like him but many others who voted for Hilary realized that President Trump is for the Veterans

He might have already been preparing for the hurricane when he was at Reno

Great answer, it really does make a difference I believe, that when people are suffering during such tragedy that our President step up and show support, show that they are worth caring about, and is there himself interacting with the people.
