A separate CIA? How do you feel about government expansion with the creation of a new spy agency?
POTUS planning private network of spies controlled soley by him assisted by Mike Pompeo.
Blackwater founder Erik Prince will be tapped to counteract the supposed “deep state”.
Would this be incredibly damaging to the constitutional separation of powers?
If POTUS has broad domestic-spying powers controlled soley by the WH without oversight, then any president will have unchecked power to spy on and gathering blackmail material that can be used to destroy political enemies.
I think it is a great idea. The CIA and other intelligence agencies have not been functional for the country or the people. They are not directly controlled by anyone including Congress or the Executive Office, much less the Supreme Court.
Del if this dn answer your question.
Okay Brad, I'm sure Trump Spy agency will be Waaay better. hahahaha!

They failed in 1993 WTC bombing.
They failed in 2001 WTC, and Pentagon
They failed in 2004 False WMD in IRAG. Yet IRAN and N Korea have the real thing.
They failed for 15 years to get Osama Bin Laden
All 17 US Intel supported the bogus Russian
@Brad, Erik Prince (Blackwater) and Oliver North do not have good reputations. These are the same guys who want to privatize the war in Afghanistan based upon the colonial model of the British East India Company of the 19th century,
ptosis
None of this negates my comment which you have avoided. Oliver North got thrown under the GH Bush bus, and who knows more about the corrupt CIA than him. And Oliver North knows all about him.
Prince and North know first hand about CIA corrup
hahahaha! was my initial response to your comment. Remember?

If you were a lawyer, you wouldn't win a single case. Your retorts are barbs not real arguments. Once again, I over estimated your having real values and real arguments. Sometimes it pops thru but mostly it is for cartoons. L)
If it was a secret spy agency then it's not secret now is it? That would be a bad start for any intel agency. Trump has the 'Reverse Midas Touch' because has such a big mouth. Like telling code word Israeli intel to the Ruskies in the Oval office.
ptosis
What are you talking about? You are running all over the map, what is your point. We get it you don't like Trump? go to the polls in 2020.
Separation of powers? All these intel agencies work under the president. Where was the CIA during 911?
Spy agencies aren't constitutional, strictly speaking. But certainly a spy agency wielded by the executive for use in the US is absolutely unconstitutional, and the opportunities for misuse beyond the mundane are legion. Such a move would ultimately result, at some point, in great evil being committed against American citizens.
At least Trump's agency would be visible and so would the funding. This cannot be said of the existing agencies.
imo
OK, it would be just like when Weinstein set out to suppress allegations that he had sexually harassed or assaulted numerous women. He began to hire private security agencies to collect information on the women and the journalists trying to expose the allegations.
Only it would be the POTUS using blackmail on political enemies. If in place today, it would be used to discredit and gang stalk Roy Moore's accusers today.
Trump has now denied , even after saying he's sorry that he said the 'grab pussy' remark, and now he's saying that he never said it! This is a second attack on his victims. Now imagine those victims being gang stalked.
And why don’t women report sexual assault to the police? They many fear reprisals from the offender or other loved ones, particularly when the offender is known to them. They may feel ashamed, internalizing the culture of victim blaming in our society. And many — often correctly — believe the police won’t be able to help.
All manner of nefarious tactics are used to intimidate, control and ultimately ruin the black-listed victim.
This Blackwater/Xe/Academi has no scruples and could've been already hired out by wealthy sex predators looking for the next victim.

I'm not attempting to swat a hornet's nest here. I just keep hearing the refrain "no government is good government" or words to that effect.According to the tea-party folks I've spoken to government is wasteful, bloated, and ineffectual. Which makes me wonder; where do we draw a line? Is...

I watched Piers Morgan's show twice, once with Alex Jones as his guest and then again with Ben Shapiro as his guest. Both of these people believe that is necessary for citizens to have high capacity assault weapons, like AR15's to protect themselves from the eventual tyranny of their own...
