That must be a horribly crushing defeat to many here in political forums ?  I could name many here who's entire premise is that their obstruction to Trump has been about his " Insanity ".

    Childish !

The insanity was always from the left from the get go...
TDS will take them all down.
Comey is just one latest example.

      Jake,
The good old days is the only thing we have to judge what is going on right now.
The problem as you stated is that we are not paying for these programs...as we should.
We have been paying part of it and the rest is deficit spending...
Sooner or later the piper is paid one way or another.

I wonder if you do your own finances or budget.
Do you consistantly spend $105 when you only make $100?
How long do you think you can survive doing that?
The credit card interest alone will bring you to bankruptcy in a few years...
The reason our government has been able to last so long is the artificial low interest rates set by the federal reserve. It was near 0% for nearly 8 years of Obama. It is like free money...
Now the interest rate is returning to its former rates of 2% and rising....
Guess what, that 21 trillion debt is now going to hurt...big time.
Do you get it? It is not that hard. Do the math...

Here it a short excerpt for those who want to learn more about ZIRP

        https://www.investopedia.com/articles/i … y-zirp.asp

In 2009, the U.S. reached its lowest economic point following the financial crisis with inflation of -2.1 percent , unemployment at 10.2 percent and GDP growth plummeting to -2.8 percent. Interest rates dropped to near zero during this period. By January 2014, after roughly five years of ZIRP and quantitative easing, inflation, unemployment and GDP growth reached 1.8 percent, 6.6 percent and 3.2 percent, respectively.

Sorry, that is pure smoke and mirrors. zirp is how the federal government cheats savers and people on fixed income such as social security. It is a massive money transfer fom the savers to the borrowers... in other word the Federal Government.
In all past recessions, the economy recovered with a boom. Not after the 2008 recession. Why?
The Quantitive Easing is a fancy word created by the Obama administration. It is another way of printing money that we don’t have. Do you deny it?

So you think Obama saved us from a depression? By spending us into oblivion?
You have to take a basic course in economics 101...my friend.

Okay, then. Our President is "just morally corrupt." That's not a problem at all.  Sheesh.

Mental illness does not equal insanity, by the way. I'm speaking up for those with mental illness. The stigma is bad enough without people inaccurately using the term "insane." I'm not saying Comey was doing that, but narcissistic personality disorder, for example, does not equal "insanity."

Transcript of Comey interview last night @ http://abcnews.go.com/Site/transcript-j … d=54488723

Comey said. "I don't think he's medically unfit to be president. I think he's morally unfit to be president."

"A person who sees moral equivalence in Charlottesville, who talks about and treats women like they're pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe it, that person's not fit to be president of the United States, on moral grounds.

"Our president must embody respect and adhere to the values that are at the core of this country. The most important being truth. This president is not able to do that. He is morally unfit to be president," Comey said.

I'm just now watching excerpts from the interview and I didn't hear him use the word "insane" or "insanity." I should have assumed the characterization of Comey's statements presented here was inaccurate.

My use of the word insanity was not a clinical diagnosis...

It is part of the narrative of of someone who had TDS, Trump Derangement syndrome. It is someone whos hatred of Trump was so extreme that they are willing to degrade their own credibility...ala Brian Ross of ABC. Now we are seeing it play out with the FBI director and their senior staff...

Crying "TDS" is a lazy response. If a criticism is wrong, then address it directly.

It explains many of what went on this past year...
That includes many in Main Stream media, and Washinton insiders and never Trumpers...and some in the GOP leadership...

The book and the leaked texts messages and the interview all points to the same conclusion.
They hate this guy and couldn’t believe the American people elected him and they are going  O do what they can to remove him and make things right...

And, of course, Donald Trump did nothing, absolutely nothing, to warrant the negative scrutiny, criticism, or media coverage.  He bears no responsibility at all for any of it.  TDS is the only explanation.

Who, exactly, is not in touch with reality?  LOL

I didn’t say anything about Trump in this thread.
I have said many times in the past that Trump is a master manipulator of the media. He knows how to get attention and suck up the oxygen... the media falls for it every time.
You would think smart people would have learned something by now...
                  They didn’t.
Every time Trump tweets or speak of something, they report on it and read more into it then warranted

Trump came to the scene after years of media bias. We conservatives knew about this for a long time.
Trump figured out a way to disarm them. I think he copied from Rush Limbaugh, unconsciously.
He try to illustrate absurdity by being absurd...

By that standard, then what about Bill Clinton? Is he morally fit, in your opinion, to be President?
Or John Kennedy? Or is it only apply to Republican Presidents?

The greatest Insanity is today's inability of the  Hillary holdovers to evolve politically and so mentally , to move beyond their apparent emotional heartbreak . I dare anyone to watch Comey's -wife's interview and emote her Hilary support and then tell me he didn't obstruct for Hillary and "his girls ".

Witless Comey should be being very careful , He is still a witless , witness to Mueller's fishing expedition against Trump , While he's out grandstanding selling his book , Mueller must be seathing about him running his end game against Trump answering Clinton--Stephanopoulos questions while on the air .

Like the Alaskan bridge , Comey's compromising the investigation that's "going to nowhere ?"  Attorney's out there ?

Jacklee ,  funny huh , the left's so full of themselves with hate that they think they can actually trans-emote their hatred of Trump telepathically even  to Trumps own followers ?  Wouldn't it be nice once again to be able to debate political issues with mature people without them injecting their emotionally based  opposition to the one  political reality ?

      "one  political reality"

Again I have to agree with you, Democrats/Republicans are different wings of the same bird.

But you do understand the right and left have different objectives right? cons fight for the ultra-rich which is evident in their tax cut giveaway scam to Wall Street, while dems fight for everyone else:

To the subject: Hitler probably wasn't insane and neither was Musselini, they were somewhat rational but both suffered from severe mental illnesses such as megalomania, paranoia, psychopathy etc just like many experts from Harvard and Yale agree Mr. Trump does:

          Your charges are false.
The right or conservatives wants to reduce taxes for all people including the rich and the small businesses so that they are more competitive with our foreign businesses.
The fact is large government programs have always been inefficient and full of fraud...
That is why we conservatives want a smaller limited government and let the private sector and non profit charities take care of the poor...and the family members...
That was how it was before government programs like welfare and medicaid and medicare...and food stamps and housing subsidies and all kinds of entitlements.
Hoe did people survive in the good old days?

            1. Many corporations pay zero in taxes anyway and under the Trump / conservative corporate welfare tax cut scam, Wall Street got the cake and everyone else got the crumbs, that's just a fact. Why does apple computer believe they are entitled to pillage the United States? Dems need to repeal the gross tax giveaways to Wall Street or threaten to shut the government down

            2. It is illegal for congress to modify social security and medicare because these programs are paid for by we the working people.

            3. Who cares about the good old days? We don't live in the good old days we live in the here and now.

Just a little shy of facts and full of misinformation ,
              -All corporations pay taxes
-Do you know lower fifty percent of wage earners now pay no taxes
-"....everyone else gets the crumbs..... " You want what you didn't earn ?
-You don't care about "yesterday" -then you regress.

Obama's entire economics policy was a brand spanking new platinum credit card with a zero balance on it  and an unlimited top end borrowing power . In spite of the fact he had ten more  credit cards "maxed out ".

Obama went to the BIG mall in washington DC after bankrupting the mall of Chicago !
