I have the following message on my Google Adsense account. How can I create an ads.txt file for hubpages.com when I don't control this site?  Is this something HubPages will take care of?

    ---------------------------------------------------

    The message from Adsense:

Create an ads.txt file for 1 site
To prevent severe impact on revenue, download an ads.txt file then upload the file to the root level domain of each site:
    hubpages.com

I remember this issue coming up in the past and HubPages resolved in because they're the only ones who can resolve it. HP staff, what do you have to say?

You don’t need to do anything to your AdSense or HubPages account. AdSense may be updating ads.txt. Sometimes it takes a few days. Check this link for your AdSense ID. If it appears in the list your ads.txt will update https://hubpages.com/ads.txt.

Thanks for the reply Matt Wells but.....continuing Adsense issue - no ads running for 4 months on caloriebee!! I'm advised to add html code but not sure if HP does all of this?

It would be good to get a definitive answer on this one HP.

I went to the link, my PUB number is in the list, and it's been 5 days since your reply to my email and 7 days in this forum.  This picture attached is only a few minutes old, but still shows no ADSENSE ads are on my HP site.  I hope you fix this before the new year because if not, that will mean 6 months of no  revenue coming from our Adsense. Just so you know, Adsense reviews sites for activity and income and if they don't see any money in their coffers after 6 months, they drop you.  I do not want Adsense to drop me or any of my sites.   I would get rid of HP before I would get rid of Adsense because I have more eggs in Adsense's basket than I do in HP.

I wrote to HubPages about this almost 5 months ago. Now today I have received a notice on Adsense screen saying that no Adsense ads have been running on HubPages for over 4 months, because there is no html code inserted between <head> and <body> - they again gave me the code to insert. I told Adsense that we can't access the html on this site.  They said to write to HP because it is a problem on their end. Five  months ago the reply from HP was that they were looking into it. No reply since then.  I just now wrote to HP again to let them know what Adsense said, that my accounts are not showing ads because there is no Adsense code inserted. So I asked where is the Adsense code supposed to go if we can't access the html??   I was told we aren't allowed to state dollars and cents in replies, so I won't.  But I will say that quite a bit of earnings have been lost due to this Adsense situation.

I had the same notice from AdSense.  I hope Hubpages is addressing this issue.

Sorry to hear that.  This is definitely HP's responsibility.  They run the site and are the only ones that can ad the file that AdSense requires in the root directory to run Google ads correctly.  I hope they are on top of this matter, but from what you are saying it sounds like they are not so on top of it.

I have also received the same message. I thought that HP will take care of all these matters. But from the present thread, especially the comment of awordlover, I am concerned.
I don't know how HP will insert this file when they don't have access to my Adsense account.

The ads.txt file is uploaded by the person who can make changes to the website, which is HubPages for their site and the various specialty sites they run.  It is not done on the Adsense Account side.  I hope HP is on top of what needs to be done because it could start impacting earnings negatively.

I've been getting messages from AdSense that I am NOT being paid for the AdSense ads on my profile.

I had a question about the AdSense customizable ads, do I have to enable those or do I just leave it alone.

I just received an email about them today.

I'm having the very same issue. Just today I received an email from Google Adsense about including my editor's id to the ads.txt file. I emailed Maven because the file says the domain belongs to them. I don't know if that's the right procedure to follow. Is this something HP should take care of? If so, who should I contact? My id is not listed in the ads.txt.

I am also facing the same issue for many weeks now. I am receiving adsense messages on its home page that my earnings at high risk and I need to copy and paste a specific text line to all my ads. test file, which I wonder I can do it myself. So hoping that Hubpages will address this issue as soon as possible.

Go into your AdSense account, under sites, and remove all HubPages and all the Niche sites. You have to do this yourself as HP cannot access your AdSense settings.

Adsense is no longer used on HubPages, so you just need to remove HubPages from your Adsense account.

Admittedly I haven't been on Hubpages for a few months as I was caught up with other things happening but I'm shocked to hear this. Did they make an announcement about this?
