Travelling build social relationships, opportunities to learn & grow. It gives us the chance to be engaged in an activity, to develop new skills and to discover new cultures. It brings us closer to ourselves and other people!
I have been RVing in the US for more than 50 years. Many who posted here sound exactly like people who would enjoy it as much as I have. RVing is my niche site and has provided me with so many wonderful experiences and, in some cases, has really helped when times got tough. I'm not one for hotels, but aside from that, everything that has been said here speaks for me. I also like just "getting away" and refreshing myself. Great question.
According to my experience travel is a must for the sense of adventure. I like to experience something, be entertained, learn more about the world, expand my knowledge, may crave adventure and new things!
I like the feeling of "having something to look forward to." I love every aspect of traveling. The planning, packing, the actual travel, and the memories that I bring back home with me.
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
Traveling to new places opens your eyes to so many new experiences and possibilities.
It leads to exploration, knowledge, and a world of adventures.
It allows one to wander on a new path away from everyday life.
Yes, so true,
Traveling over a 100 countries, was the best education I had ever gotten.
Very good question. Flights are very cheap right now. People have more money everyday. We have only one life and in the world you have a lot of beautiful places.
To get away from the norm! We travel all the time to different areas around the Tri-State to see the difference between our hustle and bustle lifestyle and the abandoned environments around us.
Maybe to get a sense of feeling they are are looking for!! To discover who they are or to know themself even better. To set oneself free. Maybe it brings you near to your heart or it helps in growing higher the soul can hope or mind can hide. You Just need to stop and look around for a surprise.
I think a strong reason why people love to travel. They want to experience something unfamiliar and leave with new skills or knowledge. Most People like to adventure life, wildlife, knowing the culture, environment, pace of life and enjoying the weekends, etc.
I'm a big fan of travelling and always try to go somewhere when I have spare time. These days I prefer camping because it's easier to do in such a difficult pandemic situation. I read interesting and useful articles about camping gears here https://activegeardirect.com/the-best-c … s-in-2020/ to find out more about novelties.
I like traveling because it is one of the best sources of new experiences and an excellent way to enlarge your worldview. I usually like to travel alone. It is especially important in the places that require my attention and a certain degree of slowness. Art galleries, museums, or some cities full of historical objects. When you're alone it's easier to feel the right atmosphere and to dive into your thoughts about the things you see. However, traveling alone can be boring sometimes as you still need to be distracted from time to time, to refresh your thoughts. I usually deal with it by downloading a couple of music albums or compiling my own playlist (I download mp3 via https://2conv.com/en51/ so that I can listen to music anywhere) that I can listen afterward and come back to the place I associate it with.
Some great reasons, but ultimately we travel like we love, meaning that all that happens is a quest for inner fulfillment ... meaning, Self-discovery.
Man immigrate or migrate like birds, from one country to another. There are practical reasons: shopping, going to the beach, fauna and flora, caves and white-water rafting, sunshine, scenery of history, mountain-climbing and much more. Yet all is done in quest of the Self and that is why at ninety or 100, the desire is still there for many. Peace.
Yes, that's an excellent point. I've recently read a thread on Reddit from a person who had just a couple of days to live (he had cancer) and when asked, what he would do if he could at that moment, he said his only wish was to travel somewhere so that he could see a little bit more in his life. This desire is with us until the very end.
I travel a lot because my husband's side of the family is all in Europe and Australia and we live in the US. Before him though, I traveled a lot for the stories, the culture, the adventure and because it was my version of living a full life.
