All over the media in the US today we are seeing the headline "Americans will drink more milk than beer during the SuperBowl"  Yet, here was the original post that seems to have started the brouhaha  "Americans will consume more dairy drinks than beer and other alcoholic beverages over the up-and-coming Super Bowl weekend...according to the New York Daily News.

âOn Sunday, there will be more glasses of milk consumed in our homes during the Super Bowl telecast than any other beverage except soft drinks,â the newspaper reported Harry Balzer, vice-president at NDP Group, as saying in a statement."    Of course the NMPF has jumped on this doublespeak and is claiming it as a rally cry for 2010.

SO the doublespeak notwithstanding, which is it milk, dairy drinks or soft drinks?  Personally in my house, it's likely to be dairy (that's my kahula and cream - always a little more cream than kahula) and soft drinks.

Rebekah,  me either.  I thought it was a hoax before I went searching and found the twisted words.  Hey, who knows, if you have a party with adults and children, there could be more young ones than adults...  NOT!  hmm

Given the sloppy writing, I'd assume he was likely doing a favor for the NMPF lobbyists.  As soon as it hit the wires, they have been shouting it from the roof tops.

Guess the pollisters didn't use any data from hubbers big_smile:
