both systems have much in common. Everyone wants to have a happy life, so in essance systems in general create rules in order to controll their followers. The only difference is in the order or structure of the system.
tell me what do u think.
Everyone wants to have a happy life,
This is the bottom line .A couplet for you.
Shamanism or the art of acstacy,
The ultimate being one with the superentity.
I one sense nothing has changed
Don't know what 'new age' is except to sell new age trinkets.
structures have their attributes, but when it comes to connecting with God, I have found it necessary to not get too caught up in what someone else tries to tell me to do. Once some initial instruction is given, it between me and God, thank you!
I view a great deal of the New Age stuff as too psychic, and I mean too astral (which means too in the realms of samsara...not of the heaven world. Some people think it is cool to be "psychic" when in actuality they are playing around in the lower realms of the subconscious of the mass consiousness and of the dead, with "souls" that are no more advanced than they are.
I think that is what the original religions of the world and Christianity try to warn about. I think originally the new age stuff was meant to be a "sign" that there were inner realms of Spirit to seek...but that one needed to seek in the higher realms for angelic and ascended beings not seek to communicate with souls that have passed from the screen of life but did not ascend as the saints.
Once some initial instruction is given, it between me and God, thank you!
True you can be guided only to a certain extent then its totaly up to you.
Sparkling Jewel even the Hindu sages warn not to get too caught up in Siddhis or spiritual powers as they are distractions which being very tempting can take you off the goal of reaching enlightenment.
Yes, I try to meet the balance of what I call a wholistic lifestyle (like in some of my hubs WLP).
Do you teach?I wont be suprised as your understanding of the spirit is very good.
Aren't we all teachers and students? I don't teach with intention, but rather try to share my beliefs from my experiences with others so that they will share theirs with me. I learn from interactions much more than I realize sometimes I am trying to focus more on making an income to support myself...there is no school to teach spiritual experience that gives a degree from which you can make money...not one that i would pay for anyway:)
As far as I am concerned there are few "legitimate" ways to make money with one's spiritual knowledge without breaking Universal Laws and making karma, I do my best to be careful and mindful of my money making.
You seem to have found a good niche with your poetry, I hope it is working good for you.
True we learn till we are alive. If you can ballance the spiritual with the material then you will be complete. Please just keep sharing-it will help many. I never thought I would become a poet but yes today poetry is what gives me soul satisfaction, will not be here for long but my poems will remain and help spiritual seekers.

What do you think causes some people to need and seek religion while others are perfectly fine without it? Is it the environment in which they/you were raised? Is it life's trials that makes them/you either turn to religion or away from it? Is it a combination of many different things that causes...
