Thanks for the link. I will read it later.
I do appreciate your desire to share. Learning is so important. The problem with most religions, is that they feel they hold all truth and have nothing else to learn. This keeps them bound and, from gaining wisdom and knowledge.

You show a lot of patience.

        Hi friend Deborah Sexton

I learn from others. I submit my point of view very clearly; when someone responds with good reason; one learns. Like you started a thread on Hebrew; and I started a thread on Arabic. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was iformed by the Creator- God Allah YHWH that Arabic was the mother of all languages. Now this is not a pillar of my faith; I could differ with him in his interpretation with reason.

So this way we learn from one another; and this way humans have progressed.

        Thanks

I hope you understand I wasn't saying anything bad to or about you but was rather thanking you. However there are some people in the world who have no desire to learn from me or you or anyone because they feel there is nothing else to learn. It is a good thing to seek knowledge and wisdom.

I hope this has clarified what I said to you.

          Thanks,
          Deborah

Muslims please read it..., it is the story of your so called "peaceful" message.

    http://voters.linktoo.us/chapter_6_earl … _peace.htm

I'm getting tired of the 'peaceful Muslim' nonsense.  Religion is never peaceful when it involves Christians, Muslims and Jews.

Tell me dearest, is this fact or fiction?

      Hi friend skyfire

It is very much a possibility that all religions unite on truth and reason with peace; the Skeptics would also love to join as they will get to certainty with it; their doubt would remove. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad has done a lot of work to this end. You may like to read a small book written by him:

          Hi friend skyfire

Reason and wisdom don't fall in the physical realm; so science don't have any good definition for that; the Skeptics have only a defective understanding of it together with the proof and evidence.

I don't mind ; you may stick to your incrrect definitions, proofs and evidences; there is no compulsion. Have a good day.

        paarsurrey,

I've downloaded the pdf from the link you provided. I have a question with how to properly address a person or refer to a person, according to names in the tradition this text is written in.

When referring to a person, is it proper to use a full name, or is it alright to condense a name and say, "Mr." and "last name" as done in most Western-Euro locations? Or is there a preferrable other title involved?

ie: if I wish to discuss something from this text, a particular author or persona mentioned within the text, must I use a full name like Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas or a version of same nanme such as, Hadrat Ahmadas, or Ghulam Ahmadas or fully, Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas of Qadian??

          Hi friedn mythbuster

In the East it is thought good to mention respectful titles as are customary there. For the West we understand that the proper name is sufficient. We understand it; so it is not the issue.

I would like to mention <Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad , peace be upon him, which in Arabic is Aliehis-Salam, in abbreviation it could be written AS>; similarly for Muhammad < Hazrat Muhammad , peace and blessing of Allah be upon him and his companions, in abbreviation we write PBUH>.

It becomes most essential; as specifically there are so much misgivings and misunderstanding about Muhammad and his teachings in the West; that people use bad words for him; so we use good words for him.

The important thing is the Wisdom of Muhammad and his peaceful character.

          Thanks and regards

            Why shouldn't one be surprised?
            1. Religion is not based on the truth! Made-up stories
               don't count as truth.
            2. Religion goes against reason! Despite reasonable evidence
that the premise is absurd, believers still believe.  So
you can't use reason, because you are against it.
            3. Religion is more about conflict, not peace!  The many wars
associated with religion, is just some of the examples as
to why religion is not peaceful.  It also puts family
               members at odds, etc.

                This is truth Parra.

You are usmanali and the list of people you hate is so broad it includes most of humanity, then you come on here with this "I am a peaceful blah blah"

Rubbishists, evolutionists, atheists, capitalists, materialists, socialists, humanists, zionists, freemasons, nudists, bikini clad people, homosexuals, transsexuals, bisexuals, Australians, Americans, and Europeans, Albert Einstein, Oscar Wild, Charles Darwin, Mark Twain, Madonna (female freemason} All music stars, film stars, and I feel sure I have missed many.

This is part of a list I compiled from your previous sock puppet.
Care to confirm or deny this?
Here is your old profile pic without head, because you were paranoid about the Free Masons coming after you! lol lol lol

      parrsurrey,

Although I agree with your general purpose and the idea of unity among religions and people, I'm very concerned with methods and with cultural and ideological gaps.

I will read a piece you feel strongly influenced and goverened by, according to your beliefs (the pdf file from the link you posted) - and will do my best to read critically and suspend my current beliefs in order to try and understand the text beyond the cultural differences between the author's culture and my own.

I will use a guide for critical reading:

      http://www.criticalreading.com/critical_reading.htm

but my reading of this text will take a few days.

Sorry, personally i don't want to join you. World is much better without my efforts to improve it when it comes to uniting religion. Let there be violence in the name of religion. Let there be chaos, who cares ? we're humans, we seek balance and it's there is differences and not in equal thoughts.

Oh, NOW I see where you get your understanding of Christianity and the Deity of Christ (or not, actually).
Once the foundation is weak or faulty, the whole house is weak and faulty.
The book you refer to has as many (if not more) assumptions and false premises as those you (claim) to challenge in the Bible/Christianity.
As I said before, if you want to discuss truth, esp.in reference to the Bible, please take the time to read it and understand it a bit better.
There is only ONE truth, it's up to each of us to find it. If you are still searching for it....well I guess you still haven't found it.

    parrsurrey,

I've taken time to read some of the document but am not all the way through it yet.

What I am struck by early on, however, is that the message put forth by Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (pbuh) excludes most other belief systems. The messenger seems to be only speaking to or for the communities of two religious groups, while excluding the wide range of religious beliefs in the world.

    Can you comment on this?

I'm a little uneasy while reading this document, but am finding some value in it regarding the "peace message." I'm just uncertain why the 'audience' has to be only the two groups outlined by the author/messenger. I understand that he can be addressing a particular audience, but he makes blanket 'whole world' statements alongside - which puts me at discomfort, that's all. Something is just a little inconsistent in the document, but perhaps once I have finished reading the whole thing, these discrepancies will have been explained.
