Do blind people sleep with their eyes closed?

    I was watching a cartoon that had a blind girl in it, and it made me realize that I don't know if blind people sleep with their eyes open or not? I know next to nothing about being blind.

    Having your eyes closed while you sleep is not about whether you can see, it's about whether your eyeballs get dry, I would think

    hey guys,blindness has many causes.Unless it spoils the either reflex mechanism that closes the eyelids while one is asleep or the cause of blindness is severe enough to destroy the eye lid muscles,blind people sleep with their eyes closed.It is more about protecting the eyeballs from getting dry as wyanjen said.
