If you have not heard about this game do not worry, you will get a clarification of how and why you should play this game. Personally I have played this game from its beginning at Guild Wars 1 and now a proud player of Guild Wars 2. Game enchanted me from the day I made my character. Please note that there are obviously much more than 7 reasons to play this game, but I will try to pick 7 that really impressed me, and once you start playing you will develop your own reasons to enjoy Guild Wars 2.

1. Beautiful Artwork

This one is absolutely stunning! Just walking through this game amazes players with its rich design and wast cities. One could spend time just exploring the world and all it has to offer. Game designers have really put time and effort to present the players a great experience while going though the game. This is what many players forget about during the game, but I encourage you to take notice of places as you go through them with quests, friends or just roaming around. This really enhances the experience and enjoyment of playing the game.

These pictures represent some of the major cities in the game, it would take you hours just to look around one of these.

2. Content

Content of the game is almost endless. The reasons why I say this is that, besides the whole regular content that you can go through, Guild Wars 2 developers constantly work on new things to be explored by the players and every month there is new content to be played. All different, all unique.

For example during holidays there is a variety of activities that correspond to that, including snow events, new and unique rewards that are given to those willing to search and explore.

Taking this into account the regular "non-changing" content is so wast that it will take you a long time to reach certain goals that I have not even come close to with all this gameplay hours. PvP, WvW, PvE, so much to be said so little time.

3. Player versus Player (PvP)

PvP in this game is, without a doubt, one of the best of all MMORPGs out there. You might find somewhere online a lot of flaws that people talk about, but those are outdated articles. Recently, they have added new things and improved the flaws (that weren't so problematic) which has vastly improved the PvP experience.

If you are familiar with the game called League of Legends (which I suppose you are), this whole game can be put into just the PvP segment of Guild Wars 2. Rankings, ladders, rewards, team queue, solo queue are all part of Guild Wars 2 PvP system. Get together with people, form a team, develop tactics, own other people and get recognition and rewards. There is much more to this then just these few sentences but it requires YOU to go though all that and discover it yourself.

4. World versus World

World versus World, or shorter WvW, is just insane. I can't think of the other word to describe the scenarios that you come across while playing WvW. This is basically 3 servers, yes whole servers, fighting one another to capture castles etc. and earn points. This is rotated every week and your server is up against other 2 servers that are chosen, so every week you get different servers and the winners are awarded.

Imagine a group of 60-70 players trying to break into a castle and get ambushed by group of players from another server with approximately same number of people trying to defend their territory. Those fights are so immense and you get that "pump" while playing as if you were there, in the game yourself. The tactics that go around between the commanders that leads those packs of people (zergs) are thought-out and executed in order to make your server victorious against others.

5. Player versus Environment

PvE is part of the game where you get most of your money, and gear from. There are many things that can be done in PvE including dungeons, explorations, quests, world events, farming, leveling and many many more.

There are 6 dungeons to choose from, where every dungeon has its paths to be taken which are chosen by the players themselves. Every dungeon is unique by its design and story line that the player can experience together with others. Some are more demanding but also more rewarding for those who dare to explore them.

World bosses are awesome, especially for the first time you get to witness that. You are just walking around then suddenly you get a warning that a dragon is soon to be landed you head there not sure what to expect, and then suddenly this gigantic dragon comes out of the sky to fight people who were challenging him. Later you realize that was just a minion of an elder dragon. This sparks great interest in you to see the elder dragon. I won't spoil anything but leave it to you to plunge into this world.

6. Community

With all this there is the best community I have ever seen in any video game. People here are really helpful when you ask them something and they will even guide you through some parts, help you where you need it and so on.

When I started the game there weren't many experienced people, but when I made a break then came back, I wasn't disappointed. Ask around other places you will see that everyone says this about Guild Wars 2 community which is, for me, really important in a game.

7. Montly Fee

No. no, monthly fee.

yes, all this, for free.

Updating game's content regularly with great player support and forums to complain or commend. One might think that this will lead to bad community because everyone can play, but that is not the case with Guild Wars 2, as you will, hopefully, witness yourself. Once you buy the game, create an account you are ready to roll in and play with everyone else.

Bottom Line

All in all, this is a great game and a great experience to all those who try it. It is a game that is up to date with the modern development of video games and MMOs. Very modern yet so long-lasting like the old games that we used to play and never get bored.

There are so many things to be said about this game that I could write a whole book, but instead I choose these 7 things to be your start-up to investigate about this game and hopefully start playing to see how much more can be said about this game.

WvW, PvP, PvE, farming, dungeons, dynamic events, world bosses, fractals, Edge of the Mists, Quests, Storyline, achievements, character creation, classes, professions, living world, exploration, collecting, legendary weapons, leveling, titles... These all things is what you can do and investigate which will keep you playing and having a blast!

I encourage you to start and check it out yourself.
