Updated on March 7, 2014

Picture Puzzle Genre Creates A Stir

As the picture puzzle genre continues to explode at the iOS and Android Marketplaces, a new entrant has emerged and is skyrocketing up the download charts. 4 Pics 1 Word Answers is a website devoted to covering every aspect of the newest puzzler, 4 Pics 1 Word.

The object of the game is to correctly guess the word, based on 4 pictures that are presented to you. The main difference between 4 Pics 1 Word and their predecessors seems to be merely in the graphics and design aesthetic. The concept is amazingly simple, yet addictive : 4 images that illustrate the word in action.

Guessing the word is increasingly challenging, as you move onward through each level. My favorite part of this app is when I finally figure out what the word is, after several minutes of racking my brain. The eureka moment is what keeps me hooked and engaged fully. If you enjoy a great puzzler, this mobile app will definitely do the trick.

4 Pics 1 Word Is A Bit Different

Not The Same Format As Other Picture Puzzle Games

The format, that most people have grown acccustomed to, consists of specific levels featuring 4 pictures. There's a specific order to each clue and the levels are static across the iOS platforms. As you can tell by looking at 4 Pics 1 Word Answers, this game is not static and considered unstable, in terms of having set levels for all devices.

After you download the mobile app, the levels are jumbled from player-to-player and device to device. Level 17 might be different for a person who owns an iPhone 4 than a different player who owns an Android. The point is that it's a potluck scenario, based on the way this game was designed by the developers.

4 Pics 1 Word Answers breaks down the levels, based on the size of the word. Since there is no way to organize the answers by level, the owners of this popular gaming site have put together the answers based on the letter length. It might require a few extra minutes to find the word you are searching, but it ends up being worth it in the end.
