Updated on March 17, 2013

If you are looking for the locations of Golden Pineapples in Angry Birds Rio then you have come to the right place. In this article we will view the 15 golden pineapple locations and look at some very basic walkthroughs to see how to get them. Basically this will tell you all you need to know about the golden pineapples on the all new Angry Birds Rio game.

Angry Birds Rio came out in March of 2011. The game is a follow up to the massively popular Angry Birds. This version of the game sees the well known characters heading to Rio to rescue their friends. The game has been brought out to coincide with the release of the animated film Rio. So now let’s take a closer look at the game and see what exactly is so important about gold pineapples.

Angry Birds Rio Golden Pineapples

In the original Angry Birds it was all about golden eggs. The idea behind the original game was of course to complete all the levels, then players would try to get 3 stars on each level. Then of course the is the challenge of finding all the golden eggs. On Angry Birds Rio the game is set up a little differently. There are certain awards you can achieve. On the first world which is known as Smugglers Den, there are 15 gold pineapples hiding. If you can find all 15 of these pineapples you win an award.

Angry Birds Rio is very closely based on the original game. We have all the same characters and the same style of game play. There are just a few new locations and some new enemies to contend with. There are currently 60 levels available to play on Angry Birds Rio, new levels are coming out in May. The two worlds currently available are Smugglers Den and Jungle Escape. Each world has 2 episodes and 15 levels per episode. All in all there are 180 gold stars up for grabs on Angry Birds Rio.

As well as completing the levels and trying to get as many stars as possible, players can now also attempt to find all 15 golden pineapples on Smugglers Den and all 15 Gold Bananas on Jungle Escape. In this article we will concentrate on the pineapples. Some are quite easy to find and you will naturally come across them as you play the game whereas some are very well hidden and you may need a little help finding them. So below is a collection of screenshots from 15 different levels. The golden pineapples are highlighted in a yellow ring, there is also a brief description of how exactly to obtain each pineapple.
