Artifacts in all vids for Part 1 + 2 now fixed. Thanks again to Southneck! I ended up continuing to use Avidemeux, but using .mkv instead of .mp4. The container was the problem :).

Thanks Southneck, the tips were helpful :). Part 2 is now available, sorry that it wasn't up yesterday as promised, had a really wild weekend and not much time!

It only covers the extra 4 weapons you need to get your 15/30 achievement currently, however I am updating it as we speak. I figure it's more useful I publish it now to help you guys. Watch this space!

Try using Mpeg Streamclip for encoding. Instead of exporting to .mp4 (which StreamClip does very well), export to .mov using the h.264 codec. Make sure you check the "fast start" option so it gets a clean header. If that doesn't work (or YouTube requires .mp4), crank the bitrate up some. The artifacting looks like a low bit rate problem.

Good luck and the guide is much appreciated.

Mpeg Streamclip is free and awesome...

If anyone knows how to fix the artifacts I am getting when uploading certain videos to YouTube I would really appreciate it :D. The source H.264 .mp4 file doesn't have any artifacts, however after it has been uploaded randomly some of the videos will have the problem! (look at AEK-971 and SCAR-L for example).

PS. Part 2 will be completed tomorrow!
