Apple 2 Computer System

3 stars for Apple 2

The Legendary Apple 2

1. Transylvania (1982): This was a complex puzzle computer game in which you use clues to solve problems. Your character tries to save a Princess from death while evading Dracula, a ghost, a witch and a wolfman. It advances through story mode as you solve questions with the help of a map. This game had okay graphics and sound but, the fear factor and fun factor was A+ without a doubt. This one was one of my favorites growing up. My brother and I would sit around and play this game for hours. We would get so close to winning but, would have to start over many times.

2. Manhunter: New York (1988): This was a point and click game in which aliens that look like huge eyes, control all mankind in a futuristic game. You solve the game in first person view. The only issue I have with this game and it's sequel is that instead of a controller or a mouse your character uses the keyboard. Solve the puzzles in order to advance through the game. This game is a great thinking game. A game of the future back then is what is happening in current events now in the year 2016.

3. Bad Dudes (1988): You play as blade or striker in this one or two player fighting game. Your character can punch, jump, kick and perform special moves like spinning kicks. The game features weapons such as: bats, knives, barrels and nunchucks. Your goal is to defeat the Dragon Ninja gang and save the President. You can play as two fighter as stated above, this by far is the easiest way to fight. You can just blast through each level if you have a partner.

4. Donkey Kong (1983): As jump man or Mario if you will the goal is to jump barrels and climb ladders to topple the gorilla, Donkey Kong and save the Princess. Your awarded a score based on power ups that you get by swinging a humongous hammer. This hugely popular game has had several sequels. Everyone that I know growing up played this game. This was just a classic in everyone's household. Donkey Kong was easy and fun to play and this attracted all types and ages of players.

5. Castle Wolfenstein (1981): This is a single player action shooting game in which you play a soldier during World War 2. You play in Nazi Germany and you must steal War plans on each level while hiding, shooting, sneaking and throwing grenades at the enemy SS. The game had nice features such as patting enemy soldiers down and taking their armor, ammo and weaponry.

6. Bruce Lee (1984): This game features 20 levels with a ninja and a sumo wrestler to battle on each. As Bruce Lee you will kick, duck and jump your way to Fire Wizard. It takes 20 (twenty) kicks to beat him. You must be patient to avoid falling rocks, electric shocks and other objects in order to win. This game does take some patience because 20 kicks is a lot of kicks but, it is almost like a personal goal, to beat this game.

7. Alter Ego (1986): This was an extremely deep role playing game for any age. You make decisions opposite of the ones the brain are making and then see what life would be like for that person under to different circumstances. A point and click game with a tree map. This is a great way to see what choices make for you in your life. Even though this is just a game, this really makes you think about the choices that you make.

8. The Prisoner (1980): The game is played in a top view mode and it is very unique for a video game to say the least. It has a sequel and this version has 20 levels of game play. You most solve many puzzles and collect keys and clues to escape this built in prison island and make it back to the castle in this ahead of it's time thriller computer game.

9. Pitfall 2: Lost Caverns (1984): You play as Harry and this game gives you infinite life so with patience it can be beaten fairly easy but it is a classic nonetheless. This game has 27 levels to complete above ground and underground.

10. Techno Cop (1988): This is a one player game in which you play as a cop in a police car fighting crime. At various times you will set out on foot to kill criminals. The game was considered violent for the time.

Bruce Lee (1984)

Bruce Lee was released in 1984 for the Apple 2 computer console. The game was short but the gameplay was very entertaining indeed.

Apple 2 Review

Apple Has Came Along Way

Apple started out with the Apple one and two and never looked back. They now have the Macintosh, air Mac, I pods, I phones, I pads, I tunes, App Store and much, much more. In 2010 Apple became the largest company in the whole world and just before his passing, Steve Jobs became the richest man in the entire world. They still are an innovative company that constantly pushes the technology envelope.
