DotA 2 or the Defense Of The Ancients 2 is a multiplayer online strategy game developed by Valve and designed by IceFrog which is a sequel of DotA (Defense of the Ancients), a mod of the Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne by Blizzard entertainment. Dota 2 can be played in Windows, Mac OS, and Linux through Steam.

Dota 2 is a team-play match of 5 vs 5 which goal is to defend your stronghold and destroy your enemy's ancient. The learning curve of DotA 2 is easier to learn than DotA although it has the same gameplay and goals.
