Best Playstation 4 Headsets

Turtle Beach Ear Force 50P
Turtle Beach Ear Force 50P

Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 50P Budget Headset

A sensibly priced headset for the casual gamer. The sound quality is very good but is not surround sound and is described as amplified stereo.
The quality of the microphone is a little on the poor side but should be ok if your not a hardcore gamer.
The build quality as you would expect is good coming from turtle beach but these are not very comfy if you are planning to have long gaming session. The padding on the headband is very minimal and after a long session you really start to notice they are sat on your head which can get a little buggy when trying to play.
The biggest downside is that these are wired and not wireless maybe not a massive issue but i do like to stand up when I’m playing and move around so the wires hit on my arms which annoys me somewhat.
Overall really good value headset for the price and if your budget is super tight these will work fine.

Turtle Beach PX4

Turtle Beach- PX4

The price is a little higher but very good quality all round headset and much better for longer gaming sessions.
This headset is wireless and has a bunch of cool features including connectivity to your mobile device via bluetooth so you can answer calls mid game.
its also very comfertable which makes up for the overall look of the headset which is quite dull.
The best things about this headset are the sound quality, it uses dolby 7.1 surround sound which really brings the games to life giving you the feel of where sounds are coming from during your games really helps when playing call of duty or battlefield and also the battery life which is stated to be 36hours(I never got close to this with my test) so as long as you keep it charged it should never run out mid game.
Down side to use the chat feature you need to connect the headset to your controller making it not fully wireless, but at least you are not connect to the console.

Astro- A40

Really Solid headset with a high build quality. Very comfertable easy to use headset, It comes with a mix amp so you can adjust all the volumes easily and effectively to suit your style.
The fact that these are wired and not wireless for me really lets down this headset, I personally can’t be doing with wires dangling over my arms while I’m playing. This may be something that isn’t and issue for everyone.
These look and sound amazing and well worth it if you are a serius gamer (and don’t mind the wires)but for me the price is still a little to high. Great if you have the money but I think for the average person the $200+ could be better spent and you are going to be able to find a very good headset for half the price.

This headset is in my opinion just for the pro gamers out there but if you have the money and don't mind the wires they will blow your mind.

Playstation Gold Wireless Headset

For me this is the best headset for the Playstation 4 in terms of price and overall sound quality.
I have had mine for well over a year and have never had any issues with them. I have tried others but I always just end up using these mainly for the ease of use. The build quality is good even though a little plasticky but they are super comfy for the longer gaming sessions with a heavily padded headband.
The 7.1 digital surround sound works really well when playing games for knowing where the enemy is, and it also comes with a companion app which lets you adjust the settings for each game or movie. Some games also come with there own sound setting to download so you get the best sound experiance for the game. As they are made by Sony you know that together with the companion app you are getting a sound experience that fits really well with each game.

The microphone is noise cancelling and built into the headset so it won’t get in the way and annoy you while you are playing, and also seems to be of a decent quality i have never had any complaints from my friends while playing about the quality of my voice.

For the price you are not going to get a better headset not to say they are not available but this just ticks all the boxes, and with a sub $80 price tag the non pro gamer doesn’t really need anything more.

Hope This Helps

Ok Guys hope this review helps you when choosing your next headset or your first. I have added a link to the Wireless Gold as these are the ones which i recommend and have the most experience using. Prices are subject to change with Amazon.

Thanks for reading
