Black Ops 2 vs. Black Ops 3

Updated on January 24, 2016

Let's get one thing straight.

First off let's get one thing straight. I am not trying to change your opinion about which of the games is better. I am simply giving my opinions and thoughts about the games so that you can make a more educated decision of which is better for you. So I am going to go into depth of the 3 game modes in both the games and compare them so you will decide which is better in your own mind.

To start things off let's get into "Campaign"! There are many differences with both of the games. One of the biggest I feel is that you have the "Jet-Pack" in Black Ops 3. The "Jet-Pack" brings lots of interesting angles into the campaign mode. It allows you to kill your enemies or opponents in a variety of different ways. One of the most thrilling in my opinion is when you kill someone while using the wall running ability. Although you are able to get more creative with your killing I still feel that the Black Ops 2 story-line was better and more in depth with what you are actually playing. So for me to sum up my opinions about the campaign mode, I simply think that although Black Ops 3 allows you to get more creative and bring that new aspect into the game it still does not fill the shoes that Black Ops 2 left for them. I am not saying that Black Ops 3 is not good I am just saying that the second was developed much more in depth and allows you to connect with the characters more.

Second, I would like to talk about "Zombies"! I cannot really say much about this topic because no map packs have come out yet. But I am going to try to give my opinions about the maps we already have. Okay from what I've seen and experienced with the new zombies, I would still have to say that Black Ops 2 is better in this aspect. To me it is only because this map we have seen seems kind of childish to me. The "Marg-wa" is definitely not as scary or intimidating as "The Warden" on "Mob of the Dead". The weapons also kind of change the way zombies is played and is almost ruining some of the great experiences I had on Black Ops 2. These opinions could very well be changed as the map packs are coming out and being released.

Lastly, I am going to talk about the most important mode, "Multiplayer"! This is definitely the most played mode and so it obviously has the greatest impact on the decision you are making about the games. I have personally played a lot of Black Ops 2 multiplayer, 23 days in fact. I have not played much multiplayer on Black Ops 3 but it is a much greater experience I feel than the second one. For me personally I love fast paced action and hate having to go really far into action. So with the jet-pack in Black Ops 3 makes this much better for me. I know that "Advanced Warfare" had this ability but with the "air sprints" it made it to overpowered and I lost the original Call of Duty feeling that I've known and loved.

I really hope this article helped you make a better decision and showed you a different point of view than your own. If you enjoyed please share with your friends.

Black Ops 2 was better IMO. Black OPS 3 has a really poor level up system.
