Buy Hot Wheels Star Trek

Updated on March 17, 2011

In May 2009 Matel under its Hot Wheels brand name released a set of 5 collectible Star Trek Fleet Ships to tie in with the release of the new Star Trek movie. This was announced as Wave 1 of what will hopefully be many future waves of Star Trek releases as Mattel obtained the license to produce Star Trek models in 2008.

Each ship in the series is a die-cast model in 1:50 scale range and is pre-painted and very highly detailed. Each model came with its own display stand.

Since each of the models were so beautifully detailed they make great displays either on their own or as a set and since they are quite small they can be bought online and shipped at a fairly low cost. For this reason Amazon is agreat place to buy them as they are still very much in stock. They also often come up for sale on Ebay.

If you are interested in other Star Trek models please take a look at my Corgi Star Trek Model Hub, my Mega Bloks Star Trek Hub or my F-Toys Star Trek Vessels hub.
