Lego Space Police II or Space Police 2 is a Lego Space Theme that was first produced in 1992 and ran until it was discontinued in 1993, one of the sets was re-released in 1999. The theme follows on closely from the previous themes Space Police I and was the predecessor to Space Police III.

Space Police II was the first Space theme to replace the standard Lego smiley face minifigure head with a more complex graphic, in this case the face was augmented by a fringe of hair and an ear-mounted microphone.

The main characters in the theme are the Space Police who try to capture the alien criminals. The criminals were all villains and minifigures from the Blacktron theme.

This theme is mainly aimed at Kids and who are fascinated by the ingenuity and variety of models that are available in the Space Police range.The whole theme is backed up with its own website Lego Space Police which includes games, movies and bios on the characters.

Ebay is a great source for new and used Lego sets and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available

Rebel Hunter No. 6897

The Rebel Hunter set was released in 1992 and features a Space Police vehicle, also included are 2 minifigures of a Space Police Officer and a Blacktron prisoner. The set contains 140 pieces.

The spaceship holds a modular jail cell in its center section that can be released by folding the central frame outward. When the cell is removed the cockpit and the stern can be pushed together so that there's no empty space inbetween. The whole process was stabilized by three Technic axles.

Solar Snooper No. 6957

The Solar Snooper set was released in 1992 and features a large truck with a trailer, a modular jail cell and a small spacecraft, also included are 3 minifigures of two Space Police Officers and a Blacktron prisoner. The set contains 249 pieces.

The small spacecraft stored on the trailer holds a modular jail cell in its center section that can be released by folding the central frame outward. When the cell is removed the cockpit and the stern can be pushed together so that there's no empty space inbetween. The whole process was stabilized by three Technic axles.

Though the the flying vehicle has available seats, one for a pilot and another for a co-pilot, only two Space Police Officers were included, one for the tractor vehicle, and the other for the flying vehicle.

In the Space Police II back story the Solar Snooper was entrapped in ice on the Ice Planet Krysto. The civilians there freed it.

Galactic Mediator No. 6894

The Galactic Mediator set was released in 1992 and features a large space ship with two modular jail cells and a rover, also included are 3 minifigures of a Space Police Chief, a Space Police Officer and a Blacktron prisoner. The set contains a huge 395 pieces.

The space ship consists of three separable modules, the two-seated cockpit section with two windshields, the middle section and the tail section which contained a cargo hold in which the small rover was stored. The jail cells were stored between the fuselage of the tail section and the wings. They could be released by folding the wings forward.

Starion Patrol No. 1916

The Starion Patrol set was a small set released in 1993 and features a small open spacecraft, also included is one minifigures of a Space Police Officer. The set contains 18 pieces.

The spacecraft was very simplistic and merely consists of a wedge with levers and two small rockets.

This set was re-released in 1998 as the Space Police Car (No. 3015).

Bot Assistant No. 1969

The Bot Assistant set was a small set released in 1993 as part of a Bonus Pack and features a wheeled robot, also included is one minifigures of a Space Police Officer. The set contains 31 pieces.

This set was also known as Mini Robot or Mobile Security Robot.

Galactic Chief No. 6813

The Galactic Chief set was a small set released in 1993 and features a small speeder, also included is one minifigures of a Space Police Chief . The set contains 23 pieces.

Sonar Security No. 6852

The Sonar Security set was released in 1993 and features a Space Rover, also included is one minifigures of a Space Police Officer. The set contains 61 pieces.

This set includes a rover, a trailer and a rocket that launches from the trailer.
