Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Xbox 360 Tips, Tricks, Hints, More

Updated on February 20, 2011

COD 4 Modern Warfare

This list of helpful hints is for Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare for Xbox 360. This game is probably one of the best call of duty games so far. But their are some things to do to appreciate the game and really get good at it. I don't know about you but I was sick of getting knifed by the stealthy guy that moved so well you swore he had cheats or hacked it somehow. Moving up the ranks is easy and I will show you how and tricks, and tips on how to improve your skills in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty is also made for PS3, PC and Mac so everyone can enjoy this game. I personally do alot better with controllers so if you prefer computer versions I would get a controller.

This is a blast when playing Xbox 360 live. Although I highly recommend that you play single player to really get the hang of it and the controls.

Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare

If you want to skip the the Multiplayer through Xbox 360 Live then please keep these tips in mind so that you won't end up laying on the ground counting the stars. Help keep your camo a camo color and not with some red on it. Here are some Call of Duty 4 Tricks, Tips, Hints or just plain ol' survival tips.

Hint #1: Don't stay still unless you are sniping, even being a sniper you need to move at least every 30 seconds it doesn't have to be a lot it could be to the next room at another window another hiding spot. These maps aren't big enough and that means some one will see you especailly when you become a orange dot on their map(see tip 2). It's always best to keep moving and keeping cover behind solid walls that can't be shot through. Moving makes you a harder target for snipers. Trust me their are some good ones out their.

Hint #2: The red-orange dots on your map in the upper left hand corner can hurt you and help you it all depends on how you use it. As soon as you take a shot you appear on the radar as long as your enemy when they fire. Use the dots to sneak behind them and utilize your surroundings to sneak and stay covered. If you shoot and appear you can stay still and not shoot and you will disappear from the radar until you fire again.

Hint #3  Use the light machine guns or the heavy machine guns.  Some people say it's best to stay still and shoot people coming by,  That won't work people will just hunt you down each time.  You'll become a "sitting duck"  This will also help you find sniping spots to stay in cover on.  But until then use machine guns you will love it.  Also if you need to use the pistol  don't use the silencer it will cut down on your distant and usually when your using your pistol your nearing alot of enemy players so keep it regular.

Hint #4: How to earn a lot of experience if you do the Domination game for Call of Duty 4 because you need to capture flags and that is actually rather easy. You run up to the flag and a progress bar starts once it's full you capture the flag and get 15 points. You get 5 points for fragging a enemy player and 1 point for assisting so if you run flag to flag you can get a lot of experience points. I went form level 5 to level 18 in 3 hours of playing these maps. That's a lot of unlocks and new weapons. If you don't like the capture the flag game try a team deathmatch that way if you don't perform well then your team carries you.

Hint #5: Grenades to use or not to use.  In the beginning the grenades seem useless but later on you will see their potential. At first I used the stun grenades but that usually doesn't ever do you any good.  What I do is use the smoke grenade to hide myself while getting a flag or bait your opponent by throwing it one way and going behind another building and take them out.  Just practice with the grenades you will grow to love them.

Hint #6: Make sure to take advantage of the side missions in the boot camp tab in the barracks.  This has little side missions or task to do and you earn a lot of experience by doing these and you can just focus on them to go up levels very rapidly.

I hope this all helps everyone get some experience points and keeps you from having your deaths outnumber you kills.
