Cheap XBox 360 and Acessories

Updated on September 1, 2009

Xbox 360 Console

The Xbox 360 is one of the more popular gaming consoles that you will run across, but whether you're looking for one for yourself, or you're looking for one for a family member, it's suggested that you shop around a bit so that you can ensure that you're not going to get over-charged.

You want to make sure that you get the most for your money, and if one seller has a new console for $225, that may sound like a good deal, but another seller may offer a new console plus a controller for $200. Personally, I'd say the second option is the better deal.

Shopping for a cheap xbox doesn't mean that you're cheap or a penny pincher. It just means that you're a smart shopper. Check out some of the suggestions and tips for a cheap xbox 360 and cheap xbox accessories. You'll find that what you think is a good deal, may really come to be high priced, and there will probably be a better deal somewhere else.

Xbox 360 Console

The Xbox 360 console comes in three essential versions- Arcade, Elite 120 GB, and Pro 60 GB. Typically, the Xbox 360 will average from $200 to $350, depending on what model you get, but you can find them as low as $10 if you purchase a used console. Generally, the used consoles will be much less than the new ones, but if you look just right, you can find a new xbox 360 console that is about $150.

Ebay, usually has tons of options to choose from. In many cases, you'll find that you can purchase small lots that will include the console, a controller, and sometimes a few games. If you purchase from an individual seller versus an Ebay store, you'll find that you can get a better deal.

If you're looking for extra accessories and you can't find a set, you'll probably have better luck looking for the individual accessories separate from the console. Just remember that some sellers offer combined shipping, so make sure that you check out everything that the seller has before moving on.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

The xbox 360 controller is pretty cool. The wireless controller actually comes in a variety of colors, but you'll find that white and black seem to be the more popular colors. If you want something different, you can consider blue or pink or the halo 3 xbox controller or the covenant controller.

You'll have a 30 foot range with the wireless connection, and you don't need any cords whatsoever to plug in. The controller has an integrated 2.4 GHz high-performance wireless technology, so you really are good to go.

The new and improved ergonomic design makes gameplay more comfortable, so that you don't have to stop as many times. The left and right buttons have been re-vamped for easier use. The controller has two analog pressure-point triggers, two vibration motors, and one 8-way direction pad.

You'll find that that the xbox 360 wireless controller can average at 49.99, but you can find the controller as low as $15, brand new.

Xbox 360 Carrying Case

If you know that you're going to be taking your Xbox 360 to a friend's house frequently, or you're just planning on traveling with your game console, you'll want to make sure that you have the best carrying travel case. You want to make sure that you can keep your console, the controller, and your favorite games safe and secured from scratches, dents, and breaks.

Depending on what you're looking for, you may find that the soft cases can be cheaper that the hard cases, but just make sure that the interior is well suited to hold your console and accessories in place.

You'll also want to make sure that no matter what type of travel case you get for your xbox 360, it has some kind of secure lock, so in case you were to drop it, everything on the inside stays on the inside.
