Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Updated on July 5, 2017

Crash Bandicoot

As someone who played the first 3 Crash games in the series: Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped, I can say the N. Sane Trilogy is very similar with improved visuals, sound and a very welcome freshness, additionally you get the option to play as Coco.

Considering the game play there is a ton of improvement in the graphics, sound and overall feel of the game. The jungles look fresh, the fire looks dazzling, the futuristic levels and temple ruins are amazing. Enemies look better and give you the idea of their toughness. Other small improvements like Auto-saving really appreciated.

Crash will jump, double jump, spin attack, destroy & blast to explore new levels, and do all the crazy things that he does, making this adventure an experience to enjoy, specially when the difficulty goes crazy, you find yourself just giving it one more shot to get it done. Last life and that very last jump you didn't get right !

I believe the game re-enforces that old saying " When the going gets tough, the tough gets going ! "

What you will find in the game:

Wumpa Fruit
100 Fruits earns an extra life.

Aku-Aku masks
To protect Crash from attacks of most enemies. Collect 3 for something special.

Gems and Crystals
To move on to the next levels.

Crates " Tons of them "
Contain Wumpa Fruits, TNT & Nitro Crates will go out with a bang if you touch them, "C" are checkpoints, Metal crates, invisible crates.
Time Crates in the Time Trial mode, stop the time for a while.
Many vehicles, powers and weapons.
Tons of crazy enemies to jump and spin, insane jumps, races, ocean exploring, flying planes and puzzles and much more.

Do all this and more because Crash needs to defeat Dr.Cortex and stop him from world domination.

My Verdict

A good game if you enjoyed the original series, it will definitely take you back in time, the camera angles could have been better and more content could have been added. But being a remastered game and sticking to its originality id say "8/10".
