More fan favorite make into the roster!

Today on Debate, we look at the pros and cons of the video game title, "Ultimate Marvel Versus Capcom 3". This is said to be an improvement on its predecessor, "Marvel Versus Capcom 3". However will people see this as a sequel or a repatch?

Gameplay. This is the most important part of any game. Capcom states that this is one of the reasons for the release of this game was to address several issues from: Simple Combat-to-Game Rebalancing.

Pros - Several bugs and gameplay problems are going to be addressed. Also seen in the teaser trailer that new moves are going to be given to old characters. And you can activate X-Factor while in the air.

Cons - This doesn't seem enough for there to be another title in the series coming out in less than a year. Preferrably this should have more time invested in fixing the problems, adding more new characters, and improving aesthetics. It should be released as "Marvel Vs Capcom 4" somewhere in late 2012, early 2013.

Interface. Along with the new gameplay features/improvements, they released a new HUD design for the game. And frankly...

The New Interface
The New Interface

I'm not impressed. The Old Interface had the characters properly displayed, the Timer was very clear and easy to read. The Special Bars were very stylish in how they were presented.

The New Interface has favored the character's portraits over all other information including: Life Bar of your reserve characters, the order of said characters, and they sacrificed the style of the Special Bar in favor of legibility, which wasn't really needed. The only part of the New Interface that was very clearly displayed was the X-Factor, but frankly if you can't figure out the level of the X-Factor is determined by how many of your characters remain alive, then you don't deserve to play the game.

What you're getting. In addition to the everything you received in MvC3, you will get 12 more characters, 8 new stages, and a handful of character tweaks and improvements. All for the low, low price of...what? forty dollars!

Pros - The forty dollar price tag is cheaper than your average XBOX/PS3 Video Game and would be cheaper than purchasing all the new features on Downloadable Content (DLC).

Cons - However we lose the freedom of choice in what to purchase for DLC. Granted that forty dollars is indeed cheaper, but what about the people who spent the sixty/seventy dollars on the first title? Will there be any compensation like a discount, exclusive content for buying both titles instead of just getting the second, or making all DLC for UMvC3 free for said people? There doesn't seem enough to justify purchasing this new title if you've already spent your money on the first title.
