Disney's Vinylmation Park Starz : Series 1

Updated on January 28, 2012

Now I'm sure if you've been to a Disney Theme Park in the past couple of years you've noticed the new trend: Vinylmation. Vinylmations are usually shaped in the form of Mickey Mouse and take the form of just about anything from Mushu to the American Flag! But recently Disney has taken an entirely new approach to the these collectibles and have make Park Starz, a new series of Vinylmation featuring all new molds!

First off we have the Small World Doll and a Goat. This pack is interesting because you don't get just one, you get two! Featuring a young Guinea boy and his boomerrang along with the classic blue long-horned goat! It's A Small World was an opening day attraction at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and continues to be a must see attraction to this day, the ride features hundreds of singing dolls from around the world coming together to present the happiest boat ride ever!

Fans of The Haunted Mansion will be happy getting a Vinymation Constance Hatchaway. Constance made her debut as the new bride of the mansion who came out...ahead in all of her marriages. A bit of trivia for Haunted Mansion fans, Constance's character originated in the stretching room at the beginning of the attraction. Constance is seen in the portrait sitting atop a tombstone of her late husband George and holding a rose.

Also a classic Epcot character makes his Vinylmation debut in the series. The robot bulter from the classic Epcot attraction Horizons! Horizons was a big hit at Epcot, opening exactly one year after the park originally opened. The ride featured a look back at how todays world was predicted in the 1950s as well as a look at some of the ways we are inventing our own future. Horizons closed in 1999 and the building was completely destroyed to make way for Mission: Space. Fans of Horizons will notice the tribute in Mission:Space. The ride's line features a giant spinning wheel, in the center you find none other than Horizon's logo!

Two other Vinylmation's for you! We have Abraham Lincoln from the classic Walt Disney Attraction Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln and a skellington pirate from Pirate's of the Caribbean. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is currently an attraction in Disneyland, but was orginally a show designed by Walt Disney himself for the world's fair. The Disneyland Lincoln attraction is what inspired The Hall Of Presidents at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

Meanwhile in complete opposite land we have a skellington pirate from Pirate's of the Caribbean. "Dead Men Tell No Tales," but they do however make great pieces of merchandise. Check out the dead man himself in the opening scene of Pirates of the Caribbean, as he tries to steer a boat that like himself is about 6 feet under!

Other characters featured in the series include: Big Al from The Country Bears, Figment from Journey Into Imagination, Jose' from The Enchanted Tiki Room, Ice Gator the mascot for Blizzard Beach Water Park, The Giant Squid from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Moon Chaser the original mascot for Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney, and the Yeti from Expedition Everest!

Until next time,

Joey
