Electronic Arts – Golf Video Games – Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online

Updated on January 26, 2014

Tiger Woods Golf Game?

So I’m watching SouthPark and they are doing this spoof on Tiger Woods Golf which made me laugh. It also made me think. I wonder if people are still buying into the Golf Video Games. Years ago I remember wasting a bit of time playing Microsoft Golf. And by a bit I mean while at work – I know my bad, but it was a store that sold electronics and it was basically a part time gig so I didn’t get in trouble for it.

EA Sports is plugging their Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online game quite heavily. They are running a lot of internet advertising. But when I visited the site it says “We’re making some improvements The Site is currently down for maintenance”.

So I thought instead of reviewing the game I’d pose the question to the community. Yeah I know banking on Tiger’s name is not such a great thing now. But do you think this is the best Golf Game on the market? Or can you suggest a different Golf Game. I don’t really know why I like Golf, I just kind of do.

It seems like such a silly sport in real life. My old College Roommate was a big sports fan and he always said thing like Baseball is a sport, Football is a Sport, but Golf is a GAME.

I like to hit the ball… makes me feel better when I strike it just right. But it’s astronomically expensive now from when I was a kid. I mean to me it seems like a lot of money to spend $100 to play a round of golf.

But with today’s computer graphics I think it would be really cool to play the same courses the professionals play, but online.

So this begs the Question – Can you share your experience with Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online game? Is it worth the investment? Is it a good bang for the buck?
