6 Fun Baby Shower Games to Play

You are about to have a baby, congratulations! As tradition states, you must have a baby shower for you and your little one before the big day arrives. You have planned everything to the last detail – the food, drinks, the venue and the guest list. Now all you need is a few baby shower games to try to keep your guests entertained. There are a number of simple and not too strenuous games that you can try.

They will also be FREE printable baby shower games that you can print off at home.

Here are 6 fun and interactive baby shower game ideas -

1) Name Tag Donation Game

2) How Well Do You Know Mommy

3) Baby Pictures Guessing Game

4) The gift opening game

5) Broken Baby Telephone

6) The Diaper and Onesie game

Name Tag Donation Game

This is a great way to start up your child’s trust fund. The host will write as many baby-related words on name tags. The guests will each be given a name tag and will only be referred to by the name on the tag. If anyone makes a mistake and calls a given guest by their real first name, they must donate an agreed amount of money to a jar or piggy bank that will be a gift for baby.

How Well Do You Know Mommy

The host will dish out pieces of paper and pens to the guests. The host will read out a set of questions about the mother-to-be and ask guests to silently put their answers down. At the end of the game, whoever has the most correct answers wins.

Baby Pictures Guessing Game

The host will request for baby pictures of the invited guests. The pictures will be pinned in a visible place and people will be asked to match the guests to their baby pictures. The guest with the most correct guesses wins the game.

The Gift Opening Game

The host will request for baby pictures of the invited guests. The pictures will be pinned in a visible place and people will be asked to match the guests to their baby pictures. The guest with the most correct guesses wins the game.

Broken Baby Telephone

This is the classic broken telephone game with a cute twist. One guest will be asked to whisper a mother and baby tip (breastfeeding, shopping, sleeping tips, post-pregnancy workouts, etc). The tip will be whispered to the guest closest to them and that guest shall pass on the tip and so on. The last guest on the end of the line will be asked to say out loud the tip that was shared. Let’s see how many tips match the original one shared!

The Diaper and Onesie game

This is a fun way to see how well the parents know each other. The parents-to-be will sit on chairs with their backs facing each other. Each will be given a diaper and a onesie. The onesie represents dad-to-be while the diaper represents the mom-to-be. The host will ask questions such as ‘who will be the disciplinarian?’, ‘who will drop baby off at school when she grows up?’, ‘who will be on diaper duty at 3am?’ among others. The parents will lift the diaper or onesie depending on the answer they have in mind. The idea is for both parents to lift the same item the same number of times.

Gift Ideas for the Winners

Some of the gifts that the guests who win the games will get include bath and body wash sets, mugs or key chains with the baby shower date and picture of parents-to-be, box of candles, wine and wine glasses and so on. The idea is to give out gifts that do not cost too much but your guests will treasure.
