Girl Gamers?

Updated on November 8, 2012
Source

Is your gals gaming lifestyle similar to that of your male counterparts, or completely different? Do you look at your male counterparts as neanderthals, unsophisticated mouth breathers...or do you look at us as one in the same, just with a burrito instead of a taco?

Do you gals game and/or read gaming mags while on the crapper while the whole time ignoring your own funk just to get your gaming fix, do you gals discuss amongst your friends who you would smash out of say Link, Nathan Drake or Marcus Phoenix (by the way, who would you...you know smash) or do you hang out with your friends with the pretense of spending quality time together, just to get to their games?

When playing games like Call of Duty online, do girl gamers go off like all the prepubescent male gits with the Rambo complex do when losing, or are they more civil?

Do you gals get offended by the depiction of woman in video games and/or offended by how developers see girl gamers and their idea of what a girl gamer would want to play (i.e. Cooking Mama)?

@Markie W I know you "girl gamers" are out there...and kicking some serious booty...it just surprises us "guy gamers" when we finally see you face-to-face because we've heard stories about you, but we don't really ever see you out in public...kinda of like Bigfoot...who knows, maybe it's because men are more vocal about it.

I love playing video games, and I definitely turn all Rambo when I start to lose at them! I certainly wouldn't play Cooking Mama either. My favorite games are the Final Fantasy and the Left for Dead games. I really don't understand where the idea that more guys than women enjoy video games, because I've never seen it! As many girlfriends as guyfriends that I have enjoy playing video games, which is weird because when I tell guys I play video games they always looked shocked haha.

@JohnGreasyGamer I agree, it doesn't matter what your gender is...but to some goofy guys who never had a woman before, it does matter...so I figured it would be funny to talk about it.

I know this is mostly addressing females in particular, but my girlfriend could answer most of these with a "yes", as she does a few masculine things, including talking on a regular basis about poopin'.

But a great man once said this whenever female gamers announced their gender.... "male, female, what does it matter? You're all as worthless as each other." And I'm proud to have made such a quote.

Voted up and interesting. Love to see some of these answers.
