Grand Theft Auto Online: Solo Missions Volume 3

Updated on February 1, 2016
Eric Seidel profile image

GTA 5 and Online helped get me through a hard part of my life. When you spend THAT much time with a game you can't help but write about it.

Please see Volume 1 first

This part of the series, and all others proceeding it, will go directly to the mission walkthroughs. Please refer to Volume 1 (link below) for detailed information into prep work and explanations into some of the information given. Such as recommended weapons, the importance of what Rank unlocks what various elements, and other stuff that will help you along.

Quick Reference Guide

Given by: The person the mission is for.

Rank Unlocked: The Rank you need to be to launch the mission at any time.

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): How much money I made from the walkthrough you will read (results may vary from update to update).

Weapon(s) recommended: Mostly vague list of weapons that work good for the mission.

Personal Vehicle recommended: The Personal Vehicle that works best for the mission.

Best Place To Launch Mission: Missions start from wherever you are in Free-Roam. This location will save you a long drive.

At bottom of walkthrough:

(Best Rank for the mission Solo.)

If you should consider bringing a buddy along.

Differences between next-gen and last-gen versions that you might encounter. Also includes differences brought on by updates.

El Burro Heists

Given by: Simeon

Rank Unlocked: 10

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,160 (after patch 1.30): $9,300

Weapon(s) recommended: SMG

Personal Vehicle recommended: Any

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Tattoo Parlor in El Burro Heights

Repo the Dominator

Get in your car and drive to the entrance of the road with the Dominator. Take cover behind your Personal Vehicle and shoot the gang members in the immediate vicinity. Others in the area will grow hostile; keep an eye on your surroundings. Once the immediate area is clear head up the street. You can either jump in the Dominator and speed off, or you can finish off the rest of the enemies. If you do make use of cover along the left side of the street (see picture). Some will take cover behind parked cars, Grenades should be considered in those instances. Get in the Dominator once you’re done looting the dead.

Deliver the Dominator to the dealership

Once you get in the Dominator four SUVs with Vagos (two each) will appear. Either speed off or fight them, but be liberal with your Grenades. You might blow up your PV if it’s still parked down by the intersection. Once you get to Simeon’s park in the yellow marker.

(You could do this mission at Rank 10 using the Special Carbine, Bullpup Rifle, and/or the Marksman Rifle. However I recommend waiting until Rank 15 to unlock Grenades first. Not required but more explosions are always more fun.)

Video Walkthrough (pre Patch 1.29)

No pics so here's some shameless product placing

Extradition (post patch 1.29)

Given by: Martin

Rank Unlocked: 50

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $14,700 (after patch 1.30): $12,600

Weapon(s) recommended: None

Personal Vehicle recommended: After patch 1.29 a Buzzard, Savage, or Hydra plus a fast land vehicle

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Ammunation in Sandy Shores.

Break Into Fort Zancudo

Drive toward Sandy Shores Airfield and call Pegasus along the way. Order your Buzzard Attack Chopper, Savage, or Hydra so that it will be ready by the time you get to Sandy Shores Airfield. Fly toward Fort Zancudo.

Take out the informant

Lock onto the Titan pane and blast the informant’s plane out of the sky. It typically takes two or three hits. Also press in on the Left Stick to lower the landing gear. This will slow your speed down enough to set up a good bombing run (if you want to use the Cannons instead while flying the Hydra).

Go to Madrazo’s house

Now just fly to… hold on text message.

Take out the DA

Oh plot twist! You have a four-star Wanted Level, but don’t try to lose it just yet. The DA is traveling in a black stretch limo. He will drive down the highway to Los Santos, if the DA makes it to the courthouse the mission will fail. Ignore your Wanted Level and focus on blowing up the DA’s limo from the air. Don’t worry about destroying the briefcase if you blow up the limo, it must be one of those D.A.R.P.A. briefcases.

Collect the briefcase

Jump out of your Lazer, skydive down to the ground, pick up the briefcase, and have Lester “Remove Wanted Level”.

Deliver the briefcase to Madrazo’s house

Request your Personal Vehicle and dive to Martin’s house. Stop in the yellow marker to watch and over-played cut scene… oh and end the mission.

(At Rank 50 you can do this mission Solo. The mission gives you everything you’ll need, and Lester’s “Remove Wanted Level” ability is unlocked at this point.)

After patch 1.29 the jets have been moved to Fort Zancudo and can't be stolen from the Sandy Shores Airfield like before. If you bring a Buzzard Attack Choper, Savage, or Hydra you can do this mission without stealing a Lazer.

Set your PV up like this, it will be your sniper position. You'll know where to park it when you see the broken highway girders.

Flood in the LS River

Given by: Gerald

Rank Unlocked: 6

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $9,180 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: sniper rifle, SMG

Personal Vehicle recommended: Something fast depending on your strategy

Best Place To Launch Mission: Barber Shop on Davis/Carson Avenue (across the street from the subway stop)

Steal the coke

Drive toward the location but stop just before the LS River. Take cover, behind your Personal Vehicle, across the river from the drug deal. Equip a sniper rifle and attack every gang member you see from this position (see picture). Do not use explosives or you risk destroying the coke! Once you cannot snipe anymore gunmen, cross the river and finish off the rest with an SMG. Once everyone is dead, loot the bodies and take the coke.

Deliver the coke to Gerald’s apartment

Four SUVs worth of Vagos will come after you. Either fight them off, or drive to Gerald’s. Make sure to use your PV as cover if you decide to hold your ground.

(At Rank 6 you don’t have much to work with. You could use the Marksman Rifle but the range is not the same as the standard Sniper Rifle. You could change the strategy by just using one of the DLC assault rifles and take cover behind your PV from up close.)

Start the mission here. It will put you right near the ladder in the walkthrough.

Four Trailers

Given by: Lester

Rank Unlocked: 45

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $18,630 (after patch 1.30): $16,560

Weapon(s) recommended: sniper rifle, light machine gun, Grenades or Grenade Launcher

Personal Vehicle recommended: I don’t typically recommend Supers outside of Races but this mission requires some back and forth so…

Best Place To Launch Mission: Please see first picture

Steal a trailer

Run up the alley behind the building that houses the 10-car garage on South Shambles Street. Climb up the yellow ladders to the very top (see second picture), then run across the top of the bridge that leads to the neighboring building (see third picture). Equip your sniper rifle and shoot any gunmen you can see from up here (see fourth picture). You can’t snipe all of them but you can clear out a few. Do not use explosives or you will destroy the trailers. Once you can’t hit anymore climb back down to ground level. Equip a light machine gun and take out the rest of the gunmen in the immediate area. Get in the Hunter (it’s the big square semi) and back into one of the trailers to connect it.

Deliver the trailer to Lester’s warehouse

Get out of the Hunter and take cover behind one of the nearby vehicles. Shoot the Grangers full of gunmen that appear. Shooting them with your LMG is one thing, but tossing Grenades at the little parking lot they will form is even better. Once they stop coming drive the trailer to Lester’s warehouse.

Steal a trailer

Yep you got one more to do since you’re playing this Solo. Request your Personal Vehicle and drive back to the yard with the other trailer. Get in the other Hunter, or the Phantom semi truck, and hook up the other trailer by backing into it.

Deliver the trailer to Lester’s warehouse

You know what to do I’m gonna go write the Rank recommendation section now…

(At Rank 45 you won’t have a light machine gun (the MG) for another five Ranks. You don’t need a light machine gun to complete this mission, but the aptitude of raining lots of bullets before a reload is useful after the sniping. Because there isn’t much cover except for sustained fire. If you’re comfy with an assault rifle that’s up to you.)

Park your Personal Vehicle here, like this, to give yourself good cover from gunfire.

Fueling the Flames

Given by: Ron

Rank Unlocked: 20

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,520 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: assault rifle and (carefully) a Grenade

Personal Vehicle recommended: An SUV or pickup

Best Place To Launch Mission: Convenience Store in Sandy Shores

Steal the tanker

Drive up the road to the location of the tanker. Instead of sniping just park your Personal Vehicle across the road in the lot (see picture). Bringing a large PV provides more adequate cover. Shoot the Lost gang members with an assault rifle from here. You can also toss a Grenade on the Lost van to kill a few in the blast. It’s parked far enough away from the tanker and semi truck to prevent damage to them, if you’re careful… A couple of Lost will be riding around on motorcycles. Once the area’s clear cross the road. The reinforcements will sometimes show up before you even enter the Phantom semi truck. Sometimes they show up while you are killing the first group of Lost. When they arrive continue to use your PV as cover. They approach from both directions on the road so watch your corners. Once you have written the final exclamation mark for this shootout get in the Phantom and back into the tanker.

Deliver the tanker to the gas station

All of the Lost are taken care of, or at least should be, at this point. Drive the tanker to the gas station to complete the mission.

(At Rank 20 you have access to the Special Carbine and Bullpup Rifle, thanks to DLC. You could instead wait five more Ranks to unlock the AK-47 instead.)

Gassed Up

Given by: Gerald

Rank Unlocked: 12

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,230 (after patch 1.30): $9,360

Weapon(s) recommended: Marksman Rifle, Special Carbine or Bullpup Rifle, Proximity Mines or Sticky Bombs

Personal Vehicle recommended: One that provides good cover.

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Ammunation in Cypress Flats

Steal the coke

Drive to the deal going down, but as you drive down the road leading to it’s level stop here (see first picture). You have a tactical advantage over the gang members down below, but use explosives or you could destroy the coke. Instead equip a Marksman Rifle and pick off as many of them as you can from here. Finish off the rest with an assault rifle from up here, or kill off the rest from down below. As you drive down the ramp to the deal area drop a couple of Proximity Mines or Sticky Bombs on both lanes of the road (see second picture). This will help later. Pick up the coke.

Deliver the coke to Gerald’s apartment

As you drive back up the ramp enemy vehicles will attack you. If you placed explosives on the road earlier it can help get rid of them. Take cover behind your PV to finish off the rest. Once they are dead drive to Gerald’s apartment to complete the mission.

(You don’t have much to work with at Rank 12, but thanks to DLC weapons you could accomplish this mission now. You don’t unlock Sticky Bombs until Rank 19. Proximity Mines are equally effective when enemy vehicles appear on screen, but more expensive and less controllable.)

Gentry Does It

Given by: Simeon

Rank Unlocked: 10

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,160 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: None

Personal Vehicle recommended: Sports class, fast and smooth

Best Place To Launch Mission: Movie Theater in Downtown Vinewood

Steal the cars

Drive to the hotel in Vinewood and into the parking garage. Some of the guests will become hostile (sometimes), but only briefly, none of them are armed so there’s no need to for weapons on this mission. Get in the Banshee, parked in the back.

Lose the Cops

This part of the city is full of alleyways (see both pictures). You only have a two-star Wanted Level. Park in one of Vinewood’s many alleys, and put on a Mask to remove one of the stars. If you are over Rank 21 you could call Lester, but considering the above it’s a waste of $400.

Deliver the car to the dealership

Drive the Banshee to Simeon’s dealership and park it in the yellow marker. Don’t worry about vehicle damage.

Steal the cars/Lose the Cops/Deliver the car to the dealership

You pretty much have to repeat everything I just said, but to keep it brief… Request your PV, steal the Felon GT, take off/put on Mask (whichever way you had it), hide in alley, drive to Simeon’s, park in the yellow, sesame seed bun.

(At Rank 12 you have everything you need to complete this mission. No need for Lester this time if you park in the location I marked in the screenshot.)

Bringing a buddy along could make this mission go faster. It depends on your preference for pace.

Video Walkthrough

Going Down The GOH

Given by: Lamar

Rank Unlocked: 20

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,520 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: Micro SMG or AP Pistol, assault rifle

Personal Vehicle recommended: Fast but sturdy, like a Coup class vehicle

Best Place To Launch Mission: Ammunation in Chumash (it will start you off near a gas station in Little Seoul so spawn point might not matter after patch 1.29)

Steal the tanker

If you took my advice, and launched the mission near the Ammunation in Chumash, you will be right around the corner from the tanker. The tanker takes a long journey until it stops by a warehouse catty-corner to the LSC at the Airport. To help mix things up a bit (rather than do the usual take-cover-and-kill-the-guards approach) I suggest a chase. Get ahead of the tanker and spray the driver with bullets from your Micro SMG or AP Pistol. Hold in the right stick before shooting to get a better aim. You will essentially be shooting behind you. Watch the turns. Once the driver’s dead, get out and shoot the passenger. Then get in the truck cab.

Deliver the tanker to the depot

Get out of the truck and and take cover (yeah, yeah I know what I said). Kill the suits that respond in Grangers. Once they are all dead get back in the truck cab and make the looong drive to the depot. Turn on Rebel Radio, maybe that song Convoy by C.W. McCall is playing. Just remember that it’s LEFT on the D-pad. Not RIGHT on the D-pad. It was an interesting way to remember when writing this walkthrough, but I don’t think you want to detach the tanker on an open highway at high speeds.

(At Rank 20 you have a Micro SMG with Extended Magazine. It’s good enough for this mission but sprays bullets pretty wide. The AP Pistol isn’t available for another 15 Ranks.)

Even with Patch 1.29's spawn point change you can still do the above walkthrough if you brought a fast car. By the time you get to the freeway, to intercept the truck, it will be just entering the Los Santos city limits.

Grab Your Ballas

Given by: Martin

Rank Unlocked: 40

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $14,280 (after patch 1.30): $12,240

Weapon(s) recommended: assault rifle and Grenades

Personal Vehicle recommended: Any, an SUV if you want bullet protection in cover or something faster if God forbid this mission turns into a chase

Best Place To Launch Mission: The parking lot where Vagos gang cars appear

Go to the loading bay

Drive up the road to the marked warehouse, but go in the second entrance up the street (see second picture). Follow the road right as you circle around the warehouse.

Steal the truck

As you swing around the warehouse you will see a lone Ballas guard standing by their ride. Run them over and quickly take cover behind your PV. Using an assault rifle (the choice is up to you since you have a few options at Rank 40) shoot the gang member getting in the truck. It’s important that you shoot him first or else this mission turns into a chase, complete with bullet festival. No keep this less dramatic and kill THAT guy first. As soon as you begin your attack on the compound gangstas in Ballers will appear on the scene. Shoot all of them and use Grenades economically. Try to blow up anything BUT THE TRUCK. Once all of the gang members are dead loot their corpses then get in the truck.

Deliver the truck to Madrazo’s lockup

Now just drive the truck up the long journey to Madrazo’s lockup located in Blaine County.

(At Rank 40 you have everything you need to complete this mission solo.)

Park your Barracks along the entrance to the yard, like this. Between the yellow poles, but don't block the fence on the left.

Hack and Dash

Given by: Lester

Rank Unlocked: 60

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $19,440 (after patch 1.30): $17,280

Weapon(s) recommended: None

Personal Vehicle recommended: Barracks from Pegasus and something fast as your Personal Vehicle

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Movie Theater in Downtown Vinewood (it will spawn you right by the Compund)

Go to the compound

Call Pegasus and order your Barracks. It will spawn up the street by the Movie Theater. Go retireve it and park it between the two yellow poles. It won’t block cops entirely, but it’s better than setting up Proximity Mines which could make you fail the mission later (and piss the cops off more). It will block police cruisers from entering the compound and force cops to climb over the fences on foot (see first picture).

Hack the terminal

Run toward the garage door and press right on the D-pad. The hacking mini-game is the same as it is in Single Player. If you’re not familiar with it just read the tutorials that appear at the upper left corner of the screen. You have a little bit of time to hack before the police show up on the scene. At least hacking is easier than safe cracking.

Steal the vehicles

You will have a three-star Wanted Level. Get in the Granger and smash your way out of the compound by going through the left portion of fence. Even if you run over a couple cops your Wanted Level won’t change. Just refrain from blowing any up. That will genuinely piss them off.

Lose the cops

The Mask trick will knock you down to two-stars but if the cops spot you again you will regain the third one again. This is also a Lester mission so nevermind pulling out your phone. Head for the sewage tunnel near the Los Santos river (see second and third pictures). If they don’t follow you down there you should be fine. Where you want to hide is up to you, but that tunnel is a great spot.

Deliver the vehicles to Lester’s warehouse

You’re in the clear now. Just drive to Lester’s warehouse and park near the yellow marker.

Steal the vehicles

Oh right… “vehicles” is plural… Request your PV and drive back to the compound. Now you have to repeat what you just did but with the Buffalo. Drive to the tunnel, to put on the Mask, that loses the cops, to drive the car to the yellow marker, that ends the mission, all in the game that Rockstar built.

(At Rank 60 you have everything you need complete this mission. Weapons aren’t really required and Lester’s ability is useless since he will refuse to answer his phone. I recommend brushing up on your hacking mini-game skills. The faster you can complete it, the better off you’ll be.)

Handle With Care

Added with the High Life DLC

Given by: Martin

Rank Unlocked: 20

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $19,200 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: SMG, assault rifle or light machine gun, shotgun

Personal Vehicle recommended: Any

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Arm Wrestling game on Elysian Island

Go to the Pacific Allied Shipyard

Rest easy, you won’t be cracking a safe this time or fighting off waves of respawning enemies. Drive to the Pacific Allied Shipyard.

Take out the Smugglers

The front of the warehouse is blocked off causing no need to watch your flank. Go up the right side of the building, along the water’s edge. Use the various wood piles, containers, etc. as cover as you kill the smugglers outside. An SMG is good enough here because of the medium-long range you are engaging them from. Once you get inside the warehouse (see first picture) switch to an assault rifle or LMG. The majority of the smugglers are in here.

Steal the coke

As you make your way up the dock toward the back of the warehouse you’ll notice this objective pop up, even though not all of the smugglers are dead. Go to the right or left stairwells (see second and third pictures) and up the stairway. Equip a shotgun and kill the smugglers camped up here, as well as the ones taking cover in the room with the coke. Once they are all dead grab the box of coke.

Steal the smuggler’s boats

Re-equip your assault rifle (or LMG) and make your way back outside. More enemies have spawned in the dock below. High-road (catwalk) or low-road (dock) is up to you, but it’s a heck of a fall at the end of the catwalk. Make sure to re-heal before the drop. Shoot the smugglers, down on the lower outside dock, and get in one of the boats. Put on some new armor and re-heal.

Deliver the boat to the rendezvous

Head for the yellow blip on the mini-map. If you go around the peninsula to the right (see fourth picture) you MIGHT avoid the attack boats that spawn along the way, but it’s a little tricky to navigate. Going around the peninsula to the left takes slightly longer, and has attack boats along the way, but does not require much navigation. If you want to shoot them from a stationary spot, on the deck of the boat, bring the vessel to a complete stop before pressing Y/Triangle. Once the sea is clear go to the rendezvous.

Steal the smuggler’s boats

(Insert complaint about repeating same objectives here). Get on one of the Seasharks and drive all the way back to the dock. Put on some new armor and re-heal.

Deliver the boat to the rendezvous

Get in the remaining boat and make the long voyage to the rendezvous. Be on the lookout for more attack boats if the waters on your first trip were as calm as a bar-maiden’s bosom (that’s seadog talk for everything went fine).

(Take on this mission at Rank 50 or later if you want to use an LMG but any of the DLC assault rifles are just as good. You don’t have many other options at Rank 20 except for the SMG.)

Bring a friend along if the idea of taking forever to deliver boats isn’t your forte. The sea can be a lonely mistress and having a accomplish can make that voyage less apparent. Also they can remind you to stop talking like a sailor.

Hard Labor

Added with the Independence Day Special DLC

Given by: Gerald

Rank Unlocked: 19

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $17,230

Weapon(s) recommended: assault rifle, shotgun, Grenade Launcher, sniper rifle

Personal Vehicle recommended: A fast car

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Ammunation in Little Seoul

Go to the construction site

Drive up the street to the construction site and park your PV by the piles of wood on the left, you’ll need it again later.

Take out the gang members on the first floor

Take cover behind the wood piles and kill the four gang members on ground level by the Grangers. Go ahead and use Grenades if you want, nothing to collect on this mission other than loot. Run up the ramp on the left (see first picture) and shoot the gang members in the immediate vicinity. The majority of them will be on the east end of the building but you will have a few greeters once you go from floor to floor. A shotgun is very useful for those guys, the Heavy Shotgun has decent range for the guys positioned on the ramps and stairways. When they are all dead use the stairway (see second picture) to get upstairs. Using the ramp will make you a little more exposed to gunfire but the stairs will set you up for a tactical advantage.

Take out the gang members on the second floor

Like the first floor, but with all of them posted along the east side of the building. There are also explosive barrels and canisters to make use of. Go up the ramp (see third picture).

Take out the gang members on the roof

While you are climbing upstairs the gang boss will get on a helicopter and fly off. Not giving you much of a chance to even complete this objective before the next one starts up. Don’t freak out though! He’s not going to escape, take your time and gun these guys down.

Take out the gang boss

Once you’re satisfied with whatever loot these gang members dropped run back downstairs, get in your PV and chase after the gang boss. Enemy Grangers will chase after you, but just ignore them for now and concentrate on the chase. His helicopter will hover over El Burro Heights while he waits for you to catch up. Probably not for THAT reason, but that’s where he goes. The helicopter will land in the same area as the mission Coasting (see fourth picture). Stop by the lower bend of the dirt road, that leads down to the beach. Equip a Grenade Launcher and blow up the enemy vehicles that show up. In my case there were only two, but there might be more. Turn your attention to the beach below (see fifth picture) and snipe the gang members by the Granger. If you can hit the gang boss from here go for it, if not just drive down and take him out from his level to end the mission.

(Rank 60 unlocks the Grenade Launcher, you don’t really need it but it makes quick work of the enemy Grangers and you could even rain Grenades down on the gang boss at the end. If you nuking cars is not your thing at least wait two more Ranks to unlock the Sniper Rifle. Don’t want that either for the last bit? Then stop reading this part of the walkthroughs Mr. Rank-19-who-can-take-on-whatever! Pfft)

Approach the construction site from this direction. How you fly to it is up to you, but if you want to machine gun the guys by the briefcase I found this a good approach.

High Priority Case

Given by: Lester

Rank Unlocked: 25

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,700 (after patch 1.30): 9,750

Weapon(s) recommended: SMG or shotgun

Personal Vehicle recommended: Buzzard Attack Chopper, oh and a… anything, to get to the helipad to retrieve it

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Ammunation in Little Seoul

Steal the briefcase

Pull out your cell phone (up on the D-pad) and call Pegasus. Select your Buzzard Attack Chopper. If you don’t have one the mission isn’t unbeatable but it will make it easier. Drive down to the heliport and fly toward the building. Shoot the gunmen ON TOP of the building with Rockets. If you wish to take out the guys on the lower floor from the chopper DO NOT use Rockets or you could blow up the briefcase. Blowing up the guys on the outside lower floor is not a problem. Land your Buzzard there, and kill the gunmen inside using and SMG or shotgun. Pick up the briefcase.

Deliver the briefcase to Lester’s warehouse

Get back in your Buzzard and take to the skies. An enemy helicopter will come onto the scene, take it out of the sky. Fly to Lester’s warehouse and land in the yellow marker to finish the mission.

(Having a Buzzard Attack Chopper makes this mission much easier, however you can beat it with just having Merryweather’s “Helicopter Pickup” ability. It is tough though and you’ll take a lot of fire. If you use Quick GPS to go toward the briefcase (which will make the pilot fly directly there) you can rappel right down to the floor with the case by pressing X/Square. Except you’ll catch a lot of lead once you get to the bottom.)

Bringing a friend along is not a bad idea with this mission. One guy can fly the chopper/provides fire support while the other parachutes in for the case.

Hit 'Em Up

Added with the High Life Update

Given by: Gerald

Rank Unlocked: 14

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $18,840

Weapon(s) recommended: Grenades, SMG, Micro SMG or AP Pistol, light machine gun, Grenade Launcher, shotgun, and Tear Gas Grenades

Personal Vehicle recommended: Something fast (Super class would be ideal but I personally don’t use them outside of Races)

Best Place To Launch Mission: Doesn't seem to matter

Go to the New Do Barbershop

Equip your Grenades and drive to the New Do Barbershop.

Take out Big T

Big T will be among the red dots that pop up on the mini-map. Lob a few Grenades over the fence. If he’s not killed in the barrage gun down any survivors with an SMG.

Get to the hydro plant before Little T leaves

You will have 2 minutes to get to the hydro plant. Get in your car and head there. It’s right up the highway.

Take out Little T

There will be two vehicles leaving the hydro plant. A van and an SUV. Little T is in the SUV. Shoot all occupants with a Micro SMG or AP Pistol.

Go to the farm on Bay tree Canyon Rd.

You will have 2 minutes to race to the farm. You’re probably already driving at full-speed down the freeway.

Take out Small F

Equip your light machine gun and take cover behind your personal vehicle (see first picture). Don’t bother trying to snipe some of the Ballas, they will all just try to shoot you once you come on the scene. Some will show up in SUVs. Use your Grenade Launcher to make short work of them. Speaking of explosions make sure to take out the propane tanks in the area and their cars. Whoever didn’t die in the artillery strike finish off with your LMG. You don’t have to kill them all, just chop away until you kill Small F.

Go to the motel

Get in your PV and race to the motel. The game gives you 3 minutes to get there, plenty of time.

Take out Terrence

Park across the street from the motel (see second picture) and use your LMG on every Balla you can see. Once you have cleared a few drive in the parking lot, equip a shotgun, and head upstairs. Shoot your way through the motel to the room Terrance is located in. Tear Gas Grenades are helpful for the Ballas you can’t quite get a shot at, mainly the ones that take cover behind the small walls. Once you find Terrance (which you WILL during the slaughter) gun him down.

Take out the rest of the Ballas

A few more will show up at the motel, take them out with your Grenade Launcher and the rest with your SMG. You know whoever didn’t died while you were going after Terrance. Once the last one falls the mission will be over.

(You should wait until Rank 50 to unlock the MG. You could get away with using a Special Carbine or Bullpup Rifle but an mg is useful for the part with Small F. There are A LOT of guys to take out there. You don’t have much unlocked at Rank 14, at least not a lot of the weapons I mention in the walkthrough. Or for that matter any of them. Just wait until Rank 50.)

Holed Up - Burton

Given by: Martin

Rank Unlocked: 50

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $10,500 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: SMG and Grenades

Personal Vehicle recommended: Something big that can ram other vehicles around, that is if you don’t want to ride with Juan

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Los Santos Customs in Burton

Go to the apartments

Drive around to the apartments and pack your vehicle facing the street.

Take out the rival gang

Run up the ramp and toss some Grenades by the cars, and kill any survivors with your SMG, as you make your way across the parking lot roof. Stop tossing Grenades once you have blown up the first couple of vehicles. Or else you risk killing Juan. Also if you want to ride with him save the last gang member for when you get near his car, as he takes off soon after.

Escort Juan to Madrazo’s house

You can do one of two things at this point; get in Juan’s car or run to your PV and follow him (running interference). Two enemy vehicles will appear on the way to Madrazo’s house. Ram them away from Juan in your PV or shoot them while riding shotgun. Or more like “riding Micro SMG/AP Pistol” since you can’t use two-handed weapons while riding passenger (hint, hint). Once you get to Madrazo’s the mission is completed. Well… once Juan gets there if you’re not riding with him.

(At Rank 50 you have everything you need to do this mission Solo.)

Intercept the cars here at the entrance to the highway that leads down to the docks.

It Takes A Thief

Given by: Simeon

Rank Unlocked: 5

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $10,980 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: Micro SMG or AP Pistol

Personal Vehicle recommended: Something fast enough to keep up with a Coquette

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Ammunation/Shooting Range in Cypress Flats (starts you at Simeon's dealership)

Retrieve the cars

From the Ammunation/Shooting Range turn around and speed down the highway. The two cars will be coming from the docks. You can intercept them at the end of the freeway (see first picture). It’s unlikely that you can shoot both drivers at this time, so aim for the driver of the Coquette. Ignore the drive of the Jackal for now and chase after the Coquette. Shoot at the driver with a Micro Uzi or AP Pistol, a good spot for this is near the train yard (see second picture). Once he’s dead leave the Coquette behind and go after the Jackal. It will go into the dock areas of Elysian Island. If you were quick to dispatch the guy in the Coquette it should still be driving around down there. You can intercept it by the the Post Op distribution center (see third picture). Once the driver is dead get into the Jackal.

Lose the cops

You are likely to have a two-star Wanted Level. Speed away and hide in any of the various shipyards in the area. Do the Mask trick or call Lester to remove the Wanted Level. Becareful driving around the docks so that you don’t wreck the vehicle (been there…).

Deliver the car to the dealership

Drive the Jackal all the way to the dealership and request your PV.

Steal the cars/deliver the car to the dealership

Hold down the Back button and select “car”, with the Quick GPS. Drive to the Coquette and deliver it to the dealership. Don’t worry about the cops this time.

(At Rank 5 you just barely have a Micro SMG, which is a good enough gun for shooting from behind the wheel. Actually it’s ideal since the AP Pistol could blow up the cars you’re chasing if you spray too much lead. Lester’s “Remove Wanted Level” ability does not unlock until Rank 21, but with a Mask and a good hiding spot in the docks you should be fine.)

For the sake of effing with me it seems like the Jackal either takes a different route or drives a lot faster than last-gen. Just watch the Video Walkthrough, you'll see what I mean.

Judging the Jury

Given by: Martin

Rank Unlocked: 65

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $21,900 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: Marksman Rifle, Sticky Bombs, Micro SMG or AP Pistol, Sniper Rifle or Heavy Sniper

Personal Vehicle recommended: Something fast, like a Super

Best Place To Launch Mission: Kortz Building in Pacific Bluffs (see first picture)

Take out the jurors

How you tackle this mission, and in what order you take out each juror is up to you, so I won’t write this in my usual format. This order is based on starting at the Kortz Building and working your way south through Los Santos.

Guy at Kortz Building: Run up the stairs from the lower parking lot and shoot him in the head with your Marksman Rifle.

Woman outside Suburban in Hawick: Just run her over or shoot her with your Micro SMG/AP Pistol. You will get a one-star Wanted Level.

Bus Driver cruising around city: toss a Sticky Bomb on his bus, but DO NOT detonate it yet. (Note: If you don’t go after the Bus Driver right away he will get on the highway and drive toward Paletto Bay. If that happens take him out with your Buzzard BEFORE setting off the Sticky Bomb on the Jackal.)

Guy driving Jackal near the Ammunation in Little Seoul: He will pull out of a parking lot as you get close. Follow behind and toss a Sticky Bomb onto his car. DO NOT detonate it yet.

Guy at construction site in Pillbox Hill: Get out of your PV and snipe him with your Marksman Rifle.

Guy near cops in Convenience Store near Grove Street: Drive up to the front doors and spray the cop with a Micro Uzi or AP Pistol. The juror will soon come into your aim of fire so you can shoot him too. Watch out for the cop by the car. You will receive a three-star Wanted Level. Drive away from the store and call Lester, choosing “Remove Wanted Level.”

Yacht sailor off the coast of the Los Santos Customs by the Airport: Use a fully scoped sniper rifle (i.e. NOT a Marksman Rifle) to shoot him as he sails off. If he sails away from you he will cruise along Vespucci Beach until he gets to the canal near Del Pierro Pier. For some reason the game’s AI thinks that is a great idea (see second picture).

Dock Worker in Elysian Island: As you drive around to his location get out of your PV to prevent from wrecking your car in the boatyard. No matter what weapon you aim at him he will freak out and bolt. Use your Marksman Rifle as he runs to the left.

Call Pegasus and order your Buzzard Attack Chopper, if you have been following the walkthrough it should spawn down near the Merryweather dock since you will be down here after killing Dock Worker. Fly toward the Ammunation/Shooting Range in Rancho. Be in position here before setting off the Sticky Bombs you planted earlier on the two vehicle Jurors. A minute timer will be added and Martin will text you about four more Jurors.

Juror at motel in Rancho: Approach the motel from this direction (see third picture) and use Rockets to hit the Juror, they are on the right side of the second floor.

Juror in transit in Downtown Vinewood: The Juror will be transported around in a police car that you can lock-on to from the air.

Juror at hotel in Little Seoul/Vespucci Blvd: Like the above Juror they are in the back of a police car but it does not move until you get close. You can lock-on and blow it up from afar.

Juror at house in Vinewood Hills: Fly over the golf course heading toward the house (see fourth picture). With this approach you can bombard the deck of the house to kill the Juror. If you use lock-on Rockets you will just hit more cops.

Lose the Cops

By this point you have a three-star Wanted Level. It has most-likely been enough time since you last called Lester. Call him again to have him “Remove Wanted Level.”

Go to Madrazo’s house

Fly to the yellow blip on the mini map and land in Martin’s driveway.

(At Rank 65 you have everything you need to complete this mission but you should really own a Buzzard to make the second half of this walkthrough possible.)

The more players the merrier with this mission. It can take a team effort ,being open to up to eight people, to finish off the jurors. What's even more fun is that if you guys actually coordinate your assassinations this mission can have an air of badassery, but who am I kidding? This is the COD generation. Kill it with fire, Leroy Jenkins, and all that. Still bring a buddy or two if you find the timed part frustrating.

Lost MC RIP

Given by: Lamar

Rank Unlocked: 25

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $4,880 (sniping method) (after patch 1.30): $7,310 (sniping method)

Weapon(s) recommended: sniper rifle (sniping method); assault rifle and Grenades (ground method)

Personal Vehicle recommended: Any

Best Place To Launch Mission: Convenience Store in Morningwood

Go to cemetery

From your spawn point drive to the cemetery. Go through the gate.

Take out the Lost

You can do one of two things, both work in their own ways. You can run up that hill on the left and snipe every Lost member. Or you can take cover behind the various tombstones (see picture) and work your way up the path as you take them out with an assault rifle. If you do the latter strategy watch out for them flanking you, and keep moving your way toward the pond. The sniping method is ridiculously easy but only nets you $4,880. Taking on the Lost from ground level is more dangerous, and thus takes a little longer, but can get you a bit more money.

(At Rank 25 you have everything you need to do this mission Solo.)

Lost My Mind

Given by: Trevor

Rank Unlocked: 20

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $11,520 (after patch 1.30): $9,600

Weapon(s) recommended: assault rifle, Grenade(s), sniper rifle, and Micro SMG or AP Pistol

Personal Vehicle recommended: Anything that will provide decent cover

Best Place To Launch Mission: The Airfield in Grapeseed

Go to the Lost hideout

Drive up the dirt road to the Lost hideout and park your car long ways (see first picture).

Steal the meth

You could do one of two things: (1) Flank around the hideout, taking the high road, or (2) stay where you are and fight the Lost from here. If you go with the first option you can kill the guy holding the meth before he jumps on a Seashark and rides off. I of course decided to go with option two and make this walkthrough a little less Crystal Clear Out. From your PV kill the Lost using an assault rifle. Work your way down the road (perhaps using a Grenade on the vehicles by the boat house) until you get to the pier. There isn’t much cover so shoot the two Lost, taking cover behind the water tank, using a sniper rifle. Once they are dead get on the Seashark and chase after the Lost gang member with the meth. He almost always beaches himself at the first bend (see second picture). Here you can shoot him and take the meth.

Deliver the meth to Trevor’s trailer

Stay on the Seashark and drive along the Alamo Sea toward Trevor’s trailer. Staying on the water will help you avoid pursuers on motorcycles. Run to Trevor’s trailer, once you have obligatorily tried to leap the dirt mound at the shore and ultimately failed, and go to the yellow marker.

(At Rank 20 you can use either of the two DLC assault rifles and the Marksman Rifle.)

Lost gang members seem to be very allergic to water in next-gen. No matter which strategy you choose the guy holding the meth will die instantly.

The truck is 99% most likely to, probably all-the-time, be at this spot.

Given by: Lester

Rank Unlocked: 16

Possible Pay (after patch 1.30): $11,380

Weapon(s) recommended: Special Carbine and Grenades

Personal Vehicle recommended: Any

Best Place To Launch Mission: Convenience Store in Davis

Go to the storage unit

Equip your assault rifle and drive to the storage unit.

Take out the Triads

Go through the main gate and take cover by the containers. Shoot your way through the warehouse fighting the Triads. Not much strategy involved here apart from switching cover as you go. Make note of the Sticky Bombs (marked as Grenades in the next gen version for some reason). Why? I don’t know… Maybe you don’t have them and you could use some?

Search the storage unit for the truck

A big yellow zone will appear on the mini-map. Let me just spoil it for you and say to look at (see picture) for location of the black truck (in the next gen version you have to move a tanker out of the way first).

Get in the truck

Well now that you found it, with no help from me.. Get in and drive toward the road. Wait! Hold up! The expected enemy vehicles appear to stop you. Use Grenades on the bad guys that show up.

Deliver the truck to Lester’s warehouse

The hard part’s kinda over. Just drive the truck to Lester’s, ignoring the other enemy vehicles along the way. To Lester’s warehouse to end the mission.

(Thanks to DLC you can tackle this mission at Rank 16.)

Meth'd Up

Given by: Gerald

Rank Unlocked: 7

Possible Pay (after patch 1.16): $6,910 (still the same after patch 1.30)

Weapon(s) recommended: sniper rifle, shotgun (optional), and Micro SMG

Personal Vehicle recommended: Any

Best Place To Launch Mission: Ammunation in Sandy Shores

Steal the RV

Drive to the abandoned motel across the street from Trevor’s meth lab (see first picture). Run up the stairs to the North-West end of the motel (see second picture). Equip your sniper rifle and take aim at the hillbillies on the road roof first. Two of them, with melee weapons, will make their way toward your position. Kill them next, also keep an eye on the RV because one guy will try to drive off with it. There is a hillbilly on the balcony of a house to the right of the RV. There are also a couple more enemies inside the convenience store with shotguns. Whether you take them on or not is up to you. Once the area’s clear-ish get in the RV.

Deliver the RV to the pickup point

Unlike other missions you can’t just hold up and clear out the enemy vehicles that appear. As you drive along the “yellow brick road” hillbillies in Off-Road vehicles will pop-up to chase you. Shooting at them as you head to the pickup point is a viable option. Better than stopping every five feet to take on another vehicle from outside of the RV. Yu could also avoid combat altogether by driving cross-country over the hills (see third picture). However you decide to get there is up to you just remember to re-heal with Snacks if you plan to perform any kind of combat.

(What Rank you are greatly determines how you approach this mission. You don’t unlock the basic Sniper Rifle until Rank 24. Yeah I know I use that strategy for a lot of missions, it’s almost sad, but it does however work well with this one. If you are a lower Rank use a DLC assault rifle from ground level. The Marksman Rifle doesn’t have that same range as the others. Do not focus on clearing out all of the enemies in that case. Just get to the RV and get the hell out of there.)
