This guide will cover how to get a Full House, which is a perfect round with all medals and 20 victory points, on the Guadalcanal level of the iBomber Defense Pacific campaign, played on Veteran difficulty. In addition, this mission guide will also cover the secondary objective and hidden target.

Guadalcanal - Watchtower

Protect your position in Guadalcanal and prevent it from becoming a Japanese stronghold.

In this level you are facing 16 waves of enemy land units approaching from the top left and making a giant sharp curve at the right of the map before meeting your base at the central bottom. Here you will be introduced to the Flamethrower turret which will come handy for the defense of this base and an essential part of future strategies.

Secondary Objective:

Protect the Oil Refinery.

The Oil Refinery is the considerably large building to the top left of your base. Protecting it will require the use of bombs as eventually a small sneak attack (wave 7) will approach its rear, out of range of your turrets. They will take a long time to completely destroy the refinery, but its best to kill them asap. Placing some turrets in front of the building between it and the wave path will prevent it from taking fire from that direction. Finally, if using bombs on the trio of crates near the refinery, be careful to drop them as far away from the building as possible as even knicking it with your own bomb's blast can cause massive damage.

Supply Crates: 4

Victory Points Spent: 60

  • Machine Gun lvl 3
  • Cannon lvl 3
  • Bomb lvl 2

Again, money and bombs, nuff said.

Hidden Target

The Guadalcanal hidden target is one of the small huts that are located in the top right portion of the map. Look for the hut which is in the woods, covered up by trees as opposed to the pair that are on the sandy beach in the open. Look to the bottom left of this pair to find the tree covered target.

Turret Placement

Placing your turrets in this level will follow a general rule of clustering, where a Machine Gun and Cannon sit next to a nearby Flamethrower in order to maximize the effectiveness of the flame's effects. You can start with just the Machine Gun and single Flamer near the very beginning of the wave's path but you want to quickly work on a pair of Bomb turrets near your base and a second cluster to sit in-front of the refinery, not only to help defend it but clear out the three crates in addition to a very carefully dropped bomb. Make sure to have a bomb saved for the sneak attack to the rear of the refinery at wave 7.

Another good place to make a cluster of turrets is near the bend to the eastern most part of the map, the sharp turn. Placing right at the bend gives your turrets a bit of extra coverage, meaning they're shooting the enemies more than on a straight part of the path. Don't worry if the refinery takes some damage, as it is a tough structure to a degree and it only needs to survive by a thread to win you the secondary objective medal.
