Halo for the Xbox 720

So the Xbox 720 is now scheduled for a hopeful launch somewhere in the time frame of 2015. The exact date changes from what I can tell, so if I'm wrong, please, do not feel bad for correcting me.

What I am really wondering out of all of this is whether there will be another Halo game to be incorporated with the new console.

The Halo franchise has, in no question, dominated the video game world. It has claimed its rightful place as the king of first person shooter with it's blend of signature gameplay, weaponry, character design, and story plot. The Halo series has almost every stereotype known to the classic, "space alien shooter" except the creators have gone a step forward to go further on the details of what a great game in that category is.

So, the point stands; Halo has never been a flop in any of its series, and with halo reach coming out in September, (the beta has already passed as of this writing) it is sure to be a smash.

So, will there be another installment to the Halo series? I'm not sure, but I would guess that it would be on the new Xbox console. (now titled Xbox 720) It may not be a premier release with the console, but maybe a few months after the initial release. That alone would give players a great incentive to buy an Xbox 720. Not to mention all the advancements of technology in the new system.

Perhaps there will be another Halo, but it might not be under the original halo name. It could be a spinoff from the series or the same game, new title. I'm excited for what the future of video games hold. With all the rapid advancement of technology, we already have a more connected world thanks to Web 2.0 and social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace. I'm sure we will see some of this connectivity in the new generation consoles.

P.S. I already watch Netflix, listen to, connect to Facebook, and more with my Xbox 360.

I'm thinking it will be a few months after the initial release of the new Xbox. If it's going to be released in 2011-2012 I doubt it will be a launch title, unless they are already working on it.
