How To Make Money In Most MMORPGs

Updated on July 3, 2016

What Games Will This Work In?

In order for this trick that I am about to teach you about to work, you need to be playing an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that has an auction or player market. What this means is that you need to make sure of two things:

1. Does this server involve playing in smaller servers or one larger server that allows millions of players to play together at the same time? If so, then this makes it an MMO. The RPG part comes in where you can earn money and level up, which most MMOs are also RPGs.
This means that it will work in games like Wizard 101, World of Warcraft, etc.

2. Does this game have an auction house/auctioning feature or a player market? This means that you can put an item on sale for your set price for other players to browse and buy if they would like. This is also included in games like Wizard 101, World of Warcraft, etc.

Alright, What Do I Do Now?

This will not work from the very beginning of the game. First you must level up a bit and earn a bit a the in game currency. You may need a hefty amount depending on what you are going to be selling. For example, something rare may require a little spending on high prices, and something common will require lots of spending on lower prices.

This may come to a shock in a "Make Money In MMORPGs" guide, but you will be spending this money! You are going to need to buy all of the same one object in the auction house or the player market and then you will put them all up for sale for a higher price, allowing you to make more money! Just make sure you do the math to ensure you are making a bit of a profit! You can then repeat this at any time! It is a good technique in games where farming for resources is popular.

How Do You Know This Will Work?

This method will work, although it may take time depending on your prices, level requirements, or rarity. This makes it so that if someone wants to buy this legendary armor, they can only buy it from you! Therefore, you make money every time you sell all of them. It may take time depending on usefulness as well, considering that most people will not buy something that will waste their time.

Who Uses This Method?

This method is not just some random phony scam! Real people everyday actually use this method, whether you believe it or not. For example, the Yogscast even mentioned using this method in World of Warcraft to make millions in the auction house! I even used it a few times to run away with a bit of extra cash in a few games, while I never really get into an MMORPG and stay there anymore.

Is This Safe/Legit?

This method is 100% safe and legit. It is not considered cheating because you do buy everything off of the player market or the auction house and sell it back. That is exactly what they are for in these games! Buying objects from players and selling them objects. No cheats, hacks, glitches, or exploits are needed for this to work!
