How to refill & dump your own Fruit Machine

Hopefully this will explain how to use your own fruit machine correctly.

A fruit machine needs to carry a cash float so that when you win it has the money to pay you out.

The way to insert the cash float without having to play the money off is really easy, all you do is insert your refill key (87000) into the refill lock and turn it clockwise. The refill lock is usually located around the payout tray depending on the machine.

By doing this the machine will have entered refill mode. You can now start putting your £1 coins through the coin slot. You would probably get away with £20 or £30 to start with. Make sure it is £1 coins you are putting in.

When finished just turn the key anticlockwise and the machine will go back into play mode.

To dump the machine you will need to open the bottom door and the small cash door behind it.

When the fruit machine has reset turn the refill key clockwise to enter the refill mode. You may, on some machines, now need to press cancel on the button panel.

You will see behind the cash door a small button that probably has "dump" written near it. Press and hold this until you hear a noise then press the "start" button and your fruit machine will dump all the pound coins.

If you look at the links below you will see a couple of videos which will explain this a lot better than I have.
