How to Transfer Your Special Ops Profile on Modern Warfare 3

Updated on March 21, 2012

Have you started special ops on a friend’s computer, PS3 or Xbox?

Sometimes a friend wants to play special ops on their PlayStation (co-op) and you end up levelling on their PS3 rather than yours. Well, you can transfer your profile to your PlayStation so you don’t have to start from the beginning.

Follow these steps

How to Transfer Your Special Ops Profile on Modern Warfare 3 (PS3)

Step 1

Under the Game section, go to the Saved Data Utility. (You will need to exit game).

Step 2

Select your Special Ops profile under Saved Data Utility, the name of your profile will show as Special Operation Profile : “your profile name”

Step 3

Press Triangle and copy the Special Ops profile to a USB stick compatible with your PS3.

Step 4

Take the copy on the USB stick and transfer it to your PlayStation.

Step 5

Start Modern Warfare 3 and go to Special Ops, your profile will be available with the rank intact.

Additional Information

It is easier to transfer if you have a PlayStation Plus account; as you can log into your friends PlayStation and transfer it in your online storage facility.

What about Xbox and PC?

Follow the same principle for your Xbox or PC if you run into any trouble or you have some advice leave it in the comments below.

You can't transfer your offline profile, you can only do it with the online profile

You need to use the same gamertag, as the one you are transferring to.

It doesn't work, it just says this profile was created by a different user and cannot be used
