How to Upgrade Weapons on Call of Duty The Darkest Shore Zombies Resistance DLC

Updated on January 31, 2018

Call of Duty WW2 "The Darkest Shore"

Playstation 4 players can now download the new content available for Call of Duty WW2 that's named the Resistance DLC. The downloadable content includes 5 new maps. Three are regular multiplayer maps, one is a War Mode map, and the last is a new Nazi Zombie level called "The Darkest Shore."

Xbox One users will get access to the new content in about a month. The guide below will still work for them as well.

The main characters from the Final Reich map return, but you can still play as the secret characters on The Darkest Shore; assuming you've met the requirements to unlock them. It seems new characters have been added as well.

This guide will explain how to upgrade your weapons on The Darkest Shore. Quite frankly, it's relatively simple compared to some of the Call of Duty Black Ops zombie levels.

How to Upgrade Weapons on The Darkest Shore Nazi Zombies

Condensed version:

  1. Save up enough Jolt Points to unlock all the doors on the level.
  2. Turn on the power in the U-Boat Pens.
  3. Turn on the power in the Artillery Bunker.
  4. Use the mine cart systems and pick up the 3 "Electroschnalles"
  5. Use the Electroschnalle batteries to open up the elevator where the Pack-a-Punch weapon upgrade station is.
  6. Upgrade the weapon of your choice by spending 5000 Jolt Points.

The Darkest Shore Nazi Zombies

Before round 1 (also called waves) begins, a large horde of zombies will attack. Over a dozen zombies will aggressively attack you from the beach. You can choose to attack them normally or you can get on the two machine guns and gun them down quickly.

You'll get a trophy on PS4 if you don't use the machine guns, but eliminating the zombies on the beach with regular weapons is more challenging, but it's not overly difficult. The Xbox One will likely feature an achievement as well.

Behind you, you'll notice a mine cart system. They are important because that's how you get the batteries that are required to open up the elevator where the Pack-a-Punch weapon upgrade station is. You cannot open the mine cart system until you turn on the power. There are two power buttons in total on The Darkest Shore.

Saving Jolt Points & Turning on Power

Power must be restored to the Darkest Shore. Save as many Jolt Points as possible. Don't buy too many weapons. Use the shovel on the zombies during the early rounds to gather more points. The first power switch is located in the U-Boat Pens. The top right part of the screen will indicate what location you're in when you emerge into new areas.

Open up the door behind you on the beach. Run up the tunnels and open the second one. There will be an armor vendor here and a wall weapon. The door in the back cannot be opened with Jolt Points. It requires power.

Head outside to the cliffs area and descend down until you arrive at a bunker that's past a perk machine. Head inside the bunker and open up the door. Around the corner is the U-Boat Pens. Turn on the power.

Now you just need to turn on the power in the artillery bunker.

Artillery Bunker

In order to use the mine cart system on Call of Duty WW2: The Darkest Shore, you must turn on the power switch in the artillery bunker area. Ascend the stairs outside of the U-Boat Pens. You'll see an elevator. There are four slots that require Electroschnalle batteries. The first is already inserted. You need three more. Open up the door nearby where the MP40 is. Then open up all the doors until you're in the overlook area. Inside the artillery bunker is a power switch in a small room. Once you activate it, you'll be able to utilize the mine cart system.

Using the Mine Cart Systems to Get Electroschnalles

There are three mine cart calling stations. One is on the beach where you spawned. The second is inside the U-Boat Pens. The last is in the bunker 1 area outside. Inside the mine cart tunnels are exploding zombies. Be very careful because you can sustain damage while riding. It can be a bit annoying.

The electroschnalles are in the tunnels. Pick them up while you are riding the mine cart. They are inside cages. To access other tunnel systems, turn on the switches outside the mine cart tunnels.

It cost points to use the mine cart, but it's only a few hundred jolt points. Try and get the electroschnalle batteries in the earlier waves before the the game gets more difficult with more zombies spawning (including the club zombies and the new fog zombie that can kill you easily).

Opening the elevator to Pack-A-Punch

Make your way to bunker 3. Head up the stairs where the console is. Insert the three electroschnalle batteries to open up the elevator. Now, you can upgrade your weapons on Call of Duty WW2: The Final Shore! It still costs 5000 points just like other levels. Just remember that you can purchase upgraded ammo from the Pack-A-Punch upgrade station (unlike in Black Ops zombies).
