I am Bored! 20 Things You Can Do
Are you bored? Looking for something to do? Here is a quick list of ideas to help make your day a little more interesting:
1 - Take a bubble bath.
2 - Clip your toenails.
3 - Meditate (see great hub on this topic to get you started.)
4 - Organize your spices alphabetically.
5 - Organize a junk drawer.
6 - Organize your digital photos into folders by year, with sub-folders for occasions (Christmas, birthdays, summer vacations, etc.)
7 - Clean your closet. Make sure to have a trash bag handy to throw out things you no longer need.
8 - Start watching a new TV series on Netflix that you have always wanted to see but never had a chance.
9 - Start reading one of the books on your bookshelf that you have never gotten to.
10 -Play Guitar Hero, or one of the other long-neglected video games that you seem to forget you own.
11 - Catch up on the news for free, at www.nytimes.com or another good online newspaper.
12- Think of a place that you have always wanted to visit and spend time researching it. If you ever visit, you'll be ready!
13 - Write a letter or an email to someone you love telling them how important they are to you. They will be thrilled that you took the time to do this.
14 - Write a letter to yourself to open on some future date, say ten years from now. Talk about what your life is like now and what you hope it will be in ten years. Seal it up in an envelope and put it where you will see it every day so you don't forget it, like your underwear drawer. It's a huge treat to read these letters in the future!
15 - Update the baby books or journals that you keep for your children. If you don't already do this, start. It can be as simple as a notebook for your child that you update once in a while, so that you don't forget all the things they did as children. Even if they are older, it's not too late to start capturing memories.
16 - Spruce up the house. It doesn't have to cost money--you can rearrange the furniture in a room, or switch pictures and decorations from one room to another.
17 - Start learning a new language. You can learn online for free at sites like http://www.learnalanguage.com/ .
18 - Take a walk. If you have been in the house bored all day, you probably need the exercise!
19 - Bake something. It'll take a couple hours, and you'll have a yummy treat at the end.
20 - Plan and cook an exotic meal that you normally wouldn't attempt.
