Kids Laptop Carrying Cases - Great Gift Idea For The Technically Savvy Kid In Your Life.

Updated on January 8, 2010

In this "technology happy" world, it comes as no surprise that children as young as two years of age are becoming so technically savvy.

From a two year old learning the alphabet by way of the computer (check the out the video to the right →), to twelve year old prodigies building computers by hand, the world of technology has attracted the attention of our children at an alarming rate.

So much so, that the younger generation tend to know more about the ins and outs of a computer better than their elders.

For instance, my mother-in-law purchased a V-Tech learning lap-top computer system for my now four year old when she was just two years of age.

In just a couple of hours she had already deciphered how the lap-top worked!

Once her fascination with technology was peaked, we then had to find a way to keep her lap-top safe and in good condition.

* Enter The Lap-Top Carrying Case For Kids.

How thrilled was I, when I ran across several lap-top carrying cases targeted specifically for kids - Who knew?!

Not only are these carrying cases the cutest and coolest computer accessories you'll ever lay your eyes on, they're also available in a rolling-back pack form for children that like to take their personal lap-tops with them wherever they go.

When I purchased a kids lap-top carrying case for my little one (a cute light blue carrying case with teddy bears and rainbows displayed on the front, equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap), I did question whether or not it was really worth the investment.

Two, almost three years later, I have to say it was a great investment.

Not only has the kids lap-top carrying case kept her V-Tech lap-top in tip-top shape, it makes it easier to store and keeps it safe from the elements in the event my daughter carries her lap-top away from home.

* Choosing The Best Lap-Top Carrying Case For Your Kid.

Since there are so many styles and choices of kid lap-top carrying cases available on the market today, here are a few things to keep in mind before making a purchase.

  1. Size - Unless your getting a mini-lap-top, computer lap-tops for kids are usually the same size, ranging from 8.9 to 10 inches. Therefore, taking into consideration the size of of the computer and the size of your child, is the first step that will help you determine the carrying case that will properly fit them.
  2. Color/Characters - Taking into consideration your child's personal likes and dislikes, a lap-top carrying case in their favorite color, or displaying their favorite character/entertainer/sports player will really make a great hit.
  3. Style- Lap-top carrying cases come in over-the-shoulder messenger styles, rolling book-bag styles, and backpack styles perfect for any child with or without physical limitations, or for children on the go.
  4. Durability- A close examination of the bag will help the purchaser determine whether or not it's durable enough considering your child's activity or roughness level - Check the stitching; are they loose? Check the zippers; are they easy to maneuver, or do they jam easily? Check the interior and the exterior for any obvious or hidden defects such as torn or peeling material. In the event you purchase the case online, read the available customer reviews to help you make a more informed decision.
  5. Price - Price definitely has an influence on which kids lap-top carrying case you purchase. Keep in mind how much you can afford or are willing to spend, and take it from there.

* Cool Styles, Cool Colors - Cool For Kids Of All Ages.

Available in a bevy of styles and colors, you can find a kids lap-top carrying case for just about any age group. From over the shoulder styles, to rolling book-bag and backpack styles, these carrying cases are lightweight and easy to care for.

With a price range starting out as low as $13, reaching to $50 or more, a quick visit to a computer accessory online store (such as, or your local retailers such as Target, will help put a colorful and unique lap-top carrying case in your child's hands.

Wherever you decide to purchase one, or whatever you decide to pay, kids lap-top carrying cases are well-worth the money, and will make a great gift for the technically savvy kid in your life - Cool for the kids, useful for you.

Thanks for stopping by Hello, hello. These laptop carrying cases for kids are so unique and practical for kids that own a personal laptop - as strange as that may sound.
