Kung Zhu Pets - Where to Find Kung Zhu Battle Hamsters, Ninja Hamsters, Special Forces Hamsters and Accessories

Updated on September 20, 2011

Well Zhu Zhu pets are back and they are more popular than ever!

You might remember the popularity of these adorable little pets last year -- stores could not keep them in stock fast enough.

A temporary health scare had parents wondering if they were safe, but since then, they have been approved by federal safety regulators and are once again one of Christmas' most popular items!

There have been quite a few additions to the Zhu Zhu pet family. More regular Zhu Zhu pets have been added to the original 4 and there are even rock and roll Zhu Zhu's.

Baby Zhu Zhu pets and accessories have also been added to the collection and they are making quite a splash as well.

The biggest and most popular Zhu Zhu's by far however, are the new Kung Zhu Hamsters and Battle Zhu Zhu hamsters.

Read on to find out more about this year's hot holiday item!

Kung Zhu Hamsters - The Basics

If you are a parent shopping for the holidays and do not know much about Kung Zhu hamsters it might get a little confusing trying to figure out what goes with what.

Here is a basic breakdown.

There are 2 Sets of Kung Zhu hamsters.

There is the Special Forces Unit and the Ninja Warriors.

  • Each set has 4 different hamsters to choose from.
  • Each hamster has its own set of armor.
  • There are two vehicles that go with each set.
  • Each set has its own training station
  • Each set has it own headquarters.
  • There is only one Battle Arena to be used by both

Pretty much any of these items could be played with on their own (as long as you have a hamster, of coarse), so it is not necessary to buy all of these items for your child to enjoy playing, but the items listed above are intended for true battle play.

Kung Zhu - Setting The Scene

Here is the scenario:

It is a war between the Kung Zhu Special Forces and Kung Zhu Ninja Warriors.

Each group has their own training base and gathering headquarters where they gather to "plan their battles".

They then duke it out in the Kung Zhu Battle Arena using their individual protective gear.

As mentioned above there are 4 Kung Zhu Hamsters in the Special Forces and 4 Kung Zhu Hamsters in the Ninja Warriors to choose from. Each of these hamsters also has their own individual armor.

I have broken each set down to make it easier to find what you are looking for.

Kung Zhu - Special Forces Hamsters

There are 4 different Kung Zhu hamsters on the Special Forces team.

They include:

Stonewall (Blue & Black)

Sgt. Serge - (Bright Green & Yellow)

Rivet Duke - (Lt Green & Dk Green)

Rock - O - (Lt Tan & Dk Tan)

You can purchase these little guys separately or get the whole group of 4 at once.

Kung Zhu Special Forces Armor

These are the individual sets of armor that goes with each Special Forces Kung Zhu hamster.

Night Raid - Stonewall's armor

Ambush - Sgt. Serge's armor

Thunderstrike - Rivet Duke's armor

Dune Tracker - Rock-O's armor

You can again purchase these separately or buy all 4 at once.

Kung Zhu Special Forces Vehicles

Then there are vehicles that are designed to be shared among the Special Forces Kung Zhu hamsters such as:

Buzzsaw - Stonewall's vehicle

Buzzsaw - Sgt. Serge's vehicle

Rhinotank - Duke's vehicle

Rhinotank - Rock-O's vehicle

While this is the way these vehicles were intended to be played with, all hamsters fit all vehicles and armor, so they can be mixed and matched. It all depends on how "authentic" your child wants to get.

Kung Zhu Special Forces Training

These are the training areas and Headquarters for the Special Forces team.

Kung Zhu - Ninja Warriors

Now these are the 4 different Kung Zhu hamsters on the Ninja Warriors team.

They include:

Drako (Black & White)

Yama - (White w/ Black Spots)

Azer - (Tan & Black)

Thorn - (Silver & Black)

You can also purchase these little guys separately or get the whole group of 4 at once.

Kung Zhu Ninja Warrior Armor

These are the individual sets of armor that goes with each Ninja Warrior Kung Zhu hamster.

Shadow Jonin - Drayko's armor

Fire Chunin - Yama's armor

Dark Jonin - Azer's armor

Blizzard Genin- Thorn's armor

Kung Zhu Ninja Warrior Vehicles

Then there are vehicles that are designed to be shared among the Ninja Warrior Kung Zhu hamsters such as:

Spider Skull - Drayko's vehicle

Samurai Scorpion - Yama's vehicle

Spider Skull - Azer's vehicle

Samurai Scorpion- Thorn's vehicle

Again, while this is the way these vehicles were intended to be played with, all hamsters fit all vehicles and armor, so they can be mixed and matched. It all depends on how "authentic" your child wants to get.

Kung Zhu Ninja Warrior Training

These is the training area DoJo and Headquarters for the Ninja Warrior team.

Kung Zhu Battle Arena

This is the Kung Zhu Battle Arena.

If there is one item (other than your hamster) that you probably want to get your hands on before they sell out, it will probably be this one.

This is where the battle begins! See the video below for an idea of how the battle arena works.
