L.A. Noire

You may remember L.A. Noire as it only came out in 2011 and is now getting remastered. This is quite a big surprise as fans have been expecting a squeal for years, but it does not seem like Rockstar are going to give us one. As far as remastering goes there was rumors about Bully and Grand Theft Auto being remastered for current consoles. But seems like they have been put on hold for now.

A brief run down for people who don't know about L.A. Noire. In L.A. Noire you play as Detective Cole Phelps. Set in LA 1947 you must solve different crime by interviewing suspects, finding clues, contrasting evidence and trusting your gut instinct. Each case is unique and has different scenarios, factors and personalities. L.A. Noire is a spectacular game and is on another level, it is just mind blowing the amount of depth and detail.

If you are a fan of crime drama and also want to solve crime this is the game for you. But now it is being remastered and coming to current generation consoles.

Remarstered

L.A. Noire is being remastered for PS4, X-box One and Nintendo Switch. Remastering for Nintendo Switch is a surprise as Rockstar haven't released a game on Nintendo products since 2009 with Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars. Their last main Nintendo console release was 2006 with Bully. Is there going to be a possible collaborative future between Rockstar and Nintendo? Will Rockstar's future games start being released on Nintendo consoles?

L.A. Noire looks amazing still to this day so, remarstering it does feel like Rockstar are just trying to grasp for money. Rockstar have so many other projects on the go that keep getting delayed, so maybe they just want to release something and show us that they have been working towards a release.

Rockstar have started to announce the content of the game and so far it's been very disappointing. The story, characters, environment and gameplay will all be exactly the same, the only difference is the graphics. There is no added content, missions, guns, character or anything as far as we know and this begs the question: What's the point? If you haven't play the game before then it might be worth it. But if you have then your essentially just buying the same game again, just with better graphics.

Unless Rockstar announce new content, changes and improvements then it all just seems like a waste of time and money. Just get out your old console and play L.A. Noire on the old generation.
