LEGO Star Wars Christmas: 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack
This is a very basic LEGO set, with very little to build. But
play-wise, it's cool because it allows you to re-enact the evil Empire's
attack on the secret rebel base on the ice planet Hoth. With this battle pack, you will be getting 4 minifigs,
a rotating flick-firing missile battle station with radar, and an
awesome Imperial Snow Speeder Bike which is 5 inch (12 cm) long.
You will probably want this set just to get hold of the minifigs, as it has 2 Snow Troopers that are highly sought after, especially because they rarely make an appearance, except in the AT-AT Walker, and the year 2004's Millennium Falcon (4504). If you ever dreamt of getting hold of the Snowtroopers, and never has a chance, because it was previously in the pricey Millenium Falcon 4504 set, this will be an awesome set for you. The Snow Troopers are just so adorable, it's so easy to love them!
The Snowtrooper's helmet, which has 2 holes where the eyes are, is fitted over a black blank head LEGO piece to create a cool looking Snowtrooper. He also wears a standard backpack which is actually an extension of his helmet, not a separate piece.
Alongside the Snowtroopers, we have an Imperial Offficer,
and an AT-AT pilot, both of whom appeared to have alighted from a
downed AT-AT walker. The AT-AT driver's newly redesigned helmet is
highly detailed, while everything about the Imperial Officer looked
ordinary by comparison.

LEGO cleverly sells the Hoth rebels, and the Empire's force in separate packs, so you really need to get this, and 8083 Hoth Rebel Trooper Pack to be able to re-enact the battle at Planet Hoth.
Looking at set 8083, the rebel guys looked kind of boring, so if you
were to get 1 set - get this. If 2 or more, then get the rebels as well,
so that the Empire's best has someone to fight with.
IF you want to get the rebels and empire's force in one set, get LEGO Star Wars Echo Base (7749), which features 2 Imperial Troopers and 2 Rebel Troopers, as well as Han Solo riding a tauntaun,
a LEGO first! It's price is, however, more than twice the retail price
of this set. Check out its Amazon link somewhere on this page.
With this set, all we need is a Millennium Falcon, and maybe the Darth Vader minifig from the Darth Vader Watch (W005), and we are set to recreate the Millennium Falcon's escape sequence from "The Empire Strikes Back". :)
Pros And Cons:
-Previously hard or pricey to get minifigs can be yours for very little money
-Awesome looking speeder
-Costs about US $10, can get 2 of the same, unlike other sets
-None that I can think of, for the low price, except maybe that you really need to get the 8083 rebel set to really have a skirmish.
This set is awesome for the price, as you are getting the cute Snowtrooper minifigs and an awesome speeder bike to add to your Star Wars collection. This is also one of the most popular sets because it is affordable, so to beat the Christmas season shopping rush - buy now to avoid disappointment!
