Prepping for Surgery

There are a few things you must do prior to performing major surgery. After-all, you should be prepared since you are holding the life of someone in your unshakable hand:

  • Make sure you have a few minutes to spare. Most of these surgeries take 10 minutes or less. So plan around it. Like if you are going on break at another job, just before you take a shower, or just before bed! Those are the best times to perform surgery.
  • Postpone your golf game. Golf is an important sport for doctors. But hold back your tee time until surgery is complete. You can rush the surgery, but only a little.
  • Play games. You have a computer with lots of games available. So relax, enjoy them. The patient will still be there when you are done.
  • Make some phone calls. You don't want to be rude to the caller by not being available during surgery. So make those important calls before hand.
  • Practice knocking things over. Move your hand around your desk, knock a few things over, and stretch out before performing major surgery.

Performing a Heart Transplant

Obviously, this is the first surgery you will ever perform. Every knows where the heart is and how easy it is to get to it. There are some tips you should follow on your first surgery:

  • Get to know your tools. The biggest obstacle you will face is the chest-bone. Fortunately you have various sharp and blunt tools to cut away at those bones. So play around to see which one feels right for you.
  • Tug out useless organs. The lungs cover almost everything and just get in the way. So pull them out, I doubt they will be needed later.
  • Stab at those veins. It's hard to pull out certain organs, especially the heart, while they are attached to the body. So keep stabbing at the veins until those organs detach.
  • Turn on some good music. You need a good rhythm to work through the surgery. So play with the radio until you find a beat you like. Your patient may even like it too!
  • Watch out for a slippery heart. Get a tight grip on the new heart when you first pull it out of its container. As can be seen in one of the last videos below, it can slip out of your hand before you know it.

Performing a Kidney Transplant

Who ever thought the kidney's could be replaced? Well, now you can by just removing enough of the internal organs. Here's how:

  • Completely remove the intestines. If you cut in just the right places, you can pull out ropes of the intestines. They can be put back in later, but maybe not in the same way.
  • Pull out even more organs! More and more organs need to be tugged out. So just reach your hand in there and pull out as many as you find. You may have to do some cutting beforehand, though.
  • The spoon is the best tool available. Those kidneys are snug in their spots and sometimes don't want to come out. So just like ice cream, use a spoon to scoop them out!
  • Place the kidneys in the right spot. It's easy to be confused. They both look the same, right? Well, make sure you place them so they connect to the veins you severed.
  • Give your patient a makeover. Have some organs left? Well use them as a fashion statement for your patient, they may appreciate it.

Performing a Brain Transplant

This is one of the easiest surgeries that you can do. After-all, you are just pulling one thing out and replacing it with another. How hard could that be, right?

  • Chip away at the skull. There are various tools you can use to take off the protective skull - saw, hammer, hatchet, and even a laser!
  • Grip on to that brain. Once the brain is exposed, wrap your hand around it and give it a good tug. Don't worry, it's still attached so it won't go flying out.
  • Snip the brain off. Once the brain is loosely hanging out, just cut off the cord. Just like the heart, it's okay if the brain just falls to the ground. It (may) not be used in the future.
  • Don't use the skull cavity as a pen cup! The skull cavity is not for storage of your pens and tools. The brain goes there!
  • Plop the new brain in. Just toss the new brain in there any way you want. Think of it as a basketball going through the hoop. As long as you get it in, you got it.

Tips to be a Successful Surgeon

Here are some general tips when performing surgery of any kind:

  • Watch for those needles! One needle will stop your patient from bleeding, but will give you an epic drug trip. While the other needle can cure your high, it can kill your patient. So be careful and don't grab the wrong one.
  • Handle organs with care. Hah, just kidding. They are tough. If you drop them, just pick them back up. Don't fling your wrist though, as your organ could go flying to the ground and you'll have to just call it quits.
  • Be prepared for emergencies. Sometimes you need to perform surgery in a moving ambulance. In that case, ensure you secure your possessions. You don't want to lose them somewhere in the ambulance.
  • Check the time often. Fortunately, you perform surgery with the hand your watch is on. So you can check the time often.
  • Cover up your mistakes. As you can see in the video below, it's easy to cover up your mistakes. No one will find out.
