Lego Indiana Jones 2 Walkthrough 7: Raiders of the Lost Ark, The First Five Levels
Welcome to the Walkthrough for Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues.
This guide is in thirteen posts, with two posts for the six parts of the game, and then one more post for the Bonus Levels. If you need to jump to another post sometime, you can do so here.
For each level, I will first discuss the first five levels of the hub, and then discuss the Treasure Chest Levels of that Hub.
It is in the Treasure Chest level where you can learn the location of the Red Bricks, Blue Bricks, Green Bricks, plus all the Characters and Vehicles.
Creator Level not covered (yet!)
There is a lot you can do here, but lets just start on the Missions, which will begin once you walk into the bar.
Here, Toht will use the headpiece of the Staff of Ra to try to burn you with a laser. The beam will inevitably hit you, but as long as you don’t stay to long, it won’t kill you. You should probably collect as much studs as you can.
Eventually, you will have to build mirrors to deflect the beam. If you need the time to build, pick up a chair and throw it at Toht. It will stun him, but might give you the time that you want. The first thing that you have to build is in the center of the room. You will probably have to do it in steps. You know, throw a chair, build, dodge, throw a chair at him.
This mirror that is built will have a smooth surface. You will be able to push it to the left and reflect the light back at him.
This will make Toht mad, and he will throw dynamite at you. Dodge it as best you can, and you will notice that a table will be blown to bits. You can use the debris to make another reflector. The same rules apply as before to build it, but you will have to move it to a lighted area on the smooth area, and you will have to move the first beam that you made. This will create a triangle that will take out Toht again.
He will start throwing dynamite again. He will then sent his men out as he did before (make note). But there will be this one machine gunner who refuses to die. You will need to use your whip on him, and he will be tied up and helpless. Throw a chair or table at him, and he will die. Toht will use his laser again. Move the reflectors to the lighted areas, and he will be zapped by his own beam.
From there, Toht will come down to take you on with his bare hands. This is where he is weak. Go ahead and use your fists to take him out. It will work, and the level will end.
Back to the Hub
Marion will be added to your character roster and she is needed to get you to the next area. Go down the stairs and across a bridge, and you will see a bridge. You will then come to a building with a green arrow.
You have to open the doors, take Marion up until she reaches a place where only she can jump. She can then grab a key which can be used for opening the door.
This is another one of those levels where you have to take out a certain amount of enemies before you can move on. The first is about six swordsmen. The second is five Nazi troops. If I were you, I would smash everything until you get all the studs necessary to become a True Adventurer.
Eventually, you will have to face off with eight troops, and two others who will ride on camels. The troops are dispatched easily, but you will have to use a whip or a thrown object on the camel jockeys.
Another faction will come in, and Indy has to use his whip on the whip knobs there to get rid of two of them. The other eight are easy enough.
You will notice that five more enemies are afoot. You will need a sword to face them, so take out a white swordsman to defeat the swordsman dressed in black. You will need a key to get to the last two.
Fortunately, there are crates of bananas located underneath the swordsman. Grab a banana, and throw it to the monkey, who will gladly give you a key. Take the key and go all the way to the right, and use it on a lock that will create some stairs. Go up the stairs, and bounce on the canopy until you can reach the two soldiers. Take them out with a sword. The level will end.
Back to the Hub
From there, it becomes a matter of following some studs until the next level. You will notice that Sallah is on your character roster, and he needs to dig underneath a statue that will cause a head to roll, freeing up the next area.
Map Room Mystery
You might as well destroy all that you can here to get as many studs as possible. Indy will need to use his whip to get a torch. And then he will need to go and place it in an area that has a lot of snakes. When he places it, there will be a lever that he can pull which will extend a bridge above him.
Indy needs to use his whip on a whip-hook and this will reveal a reflector dish. Indy can then walk up the ramp onto the bridge and put the dish in place.
In the corner is something that can be smashed, and the debris can be built into something else: a statue. That statue needs to be pushed across the smooth surface, and then the staff it is holding will turn sideways. Sallah can then go up and jump to reach the bar, and then the bar on the other side, if he wants the studs.
Indy will need to go to lighted area, and use his Staff of Ra. He will need to turn the beam so it hits the statue that was moved earlier. This will cause the laser to reflect off of the statue, and then will hit an area near the ceiling which will open up to spill some Lego pieces.
Indy needs to walk over to this area and assemble them. He can use his whip on a whip-hook, and a block will fall. He then must climb up and get a key, and use the key on a lock where he used the Staff of Ra before. When he uses his Staff of Ra again, the altar will open up, and he can jump in to the next part of the level.
Marion has replaced Sallah here. She is needed, as there are snakes all over the place. Have Marion go to the back of the room and grab a torch. She can then go over to the wall on the right side and put it in place. The snakes will shy away, and she can pull a lever that will cause a platform to come out of the wall.
She then needs to grab another torch and put it in the left wall. A spear will come out of the wall. She needs to grab the spear and jump to the platform that she made earlier. She can target the spear in a special spot, and it will stay.
She will then go back to the area where she got the torches and smash some sort of spear holder thing. This can be rebuilt into two bars that will allow her to get to the point where she can grab another spear. She needs to go back to the platform on the right and target that area.
She then needs to use the two spears to get her to a staff that the big statue is holding, and her weight will cause a statue to tip over. Switch to Indy, and have him jump to where Marion is hanging. It ought to be low enough by now.
This will cause a statue to tip over and make a big hole in the wall. Go through the big hole, and you will end the level.
Back to the Hub
As you come out of this level, there will be two soldiers on horse. Indy can use his whip to get them off their high horses, and then mount them himself. He can then cross a bridge, which you saw in the ending film of the last movie. It is a somewhat difficult jump to make, and Indy needs to stand on the pressure pad. His partner character, whoever that might be, will join him, and go to the next level.
After the Ark
This is another one of those levels where you have to bash something to get something else. It starts with four trucks. I’d concentrate first on getting enough studs to make true adventurer. You should also not use horses, but find vehicles.
The light jeeps are fine for taking out the first four vehicles, but for the trucks in the next round, a heavier vehicle is required. Get one and use it.
There will be another round of four more, and one more. This is one that you will eventually take over so you can take out the big limo. The level will end.
Back to the Hub
From here, you will start off at a dock of some kind. You will need to smash two crates by some machine. One will have the engine to the machine, and the other will have the parts. Take the engine and put it into place. Then finish assembling it. This will cause a ship to be tugged in, you can then board the ship to get to the last level.
After the film, you will find yourself at an island, and then you can get to the last level here where the Green Arrow is.
Belloq is this huge-o ghost that must be taken out. You can avoid him if you put a barrel over your head, and there are two around for just such a purpose.
Take the barrel and go to the left, collecting as many studs as you can. Use Marion to make a jump up two levels, and have her push a box over. You can build this thing so it attaches to a train car, and push it forward.
A reflector dish will cause a blow to the giant ghost thing, and it will be time to don the disguise and go to the other side. Marion will need to jump up to an area to get a piece of machinery, and put it in the proper place. Indy will then need to use his whip on the whip knobs on the wall, which will cause platforms to fold down.
Get up using the platforms and a rope to get another piece of machinery, and then jump down. Put the machinery piece where you did before. This will cause something to blow up, and it can be rebuilt into a deflection device.
The only thing left to do is get under a barrel and go toward the central device in the room. When one character is in place, switch characters, and then have that character don a barrel and get to the other switch. This will overload the freaky thing, end the level, as well as the game.
