Lego have released a completely new Star Wars Advent Calender for the 2012 Christmas Season. The set was announced as far back as February 2012 but is now appearing in all Lego retailers now in August/September 2012.
The set is retailing at around UK£25.00/US$49.99 and there doesn't seem to be much discounting on the product (although it may be marked down after the Festive Season, so you could always store it away for 2013!).
The Calender comes in the usual format with 24 opening windows and includes 10x Min-figures (two of which are holiday themed) and 14x mini-models and accessories. The set includes 234 Lego pieces. The objects enclosed in detail are;

Yet another great advent calender from Lego and an ideal early Christmas gift for Lego Star Wars fans (both young and old!), may be worth investment for the unique Darth Maul Santa figure, which will no doubt become collectible in time, as will the whole set. The 2011 Advent Calender 7958 (See http://kcent247.hubpages.com/hub/Lego-Star-Wars-Advent-Calendar-7958 for details) with it's exclusive Santa Yoda can still be obtained through some online retailers at a premium over the the original price £25 and is retailing between £35-45 in the UK, (The Santa Yoda alone appears to be selling for about £14!). The 7958 advent calender is actually selling slightly cheaper than the new 9509 version in the US at $43 on Amazon, as of September 2012. Whether you're buying for an investment or just for fun, I'm sure this set will bring a smile to somebodies face, either way!
