Leona Lewis X Final Fantasy XIII

Updated on January 13, 2010

Final Fantasy Trailer

The worldwide premiere of Final Fantasy XIII (FFXIII) just dropped earlier today. The game already released on PS3 for Japan in December 2009, but it's due for a North American release for PS3 and XBox 360 on March 9th, 2010.

The basic story behind FFXIII is it takes place in a world called Pulse, revolving around the fal'Cie which are mechanical beings of godlike power created from crystals that lie within. People who are marked by the fal'Cie for greater purposes are called l'Cie. Each l'Cie has a goal that fal'Cie wants him or her to fulfill within a certain amount of time. The catch is that the fal'Cie do not really say what the goal is. However, the l'Cie learn what their Focus is by interpreting visions. L'Cie gain the ability to summon Eidolons (monsters who fight with the l'Cie), but this ability has a price. if a l'Cie dies before completing his or her Focus, fails to tame his or her Eidolon, or fails to complete his or her Focus within a certain period of time, he or she becomes a monster known as a Cie Corpse. If it does complete it's mission, it becomes crystallized. Essentially, they are cursed. Either way, it's a lose/lose situation.

Many of the citizens have not witnessed Pulse mainly due to the fact of the Sanctum (highest military branch) preventing them from witnessing. Anyone going toward or known to be looking for Pulse will be immediately exiled, so there was a resistance built towards this.

This is just a brief rundown of the story. For more check out the game for yourself, and definitely check out the incredible trailer below. Enjoy!!!
